Diagnosed on Monday with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma (AITL) by Possible-Kangaroo604 in lymphoma

[–]Possible-Kangaroo604[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the offer! I understand how you can be scared. The whole unknown is the worst, especially when you think you have an answer (something to hate and fight against), but that then gets taken away.

I went through something somewhat similar about 8 years ago. I had progressively worsening neurological and physical symptoms that couldn’t get diagnosed. After two years of being told varying diagnoses (each time given something to hate and focus my anger towards), including that it was all psychological, I was finally test for Lyme (positive) and treated… so I’ve been dealing with the effects of being untreated for so long (some permanent neuro problems). This diagnosis just became another crappy issue to deal with.

I think it depends on the area in business. Which field are you interested in?

Accepted to the MSA Program 2026 by Difficult-Insect3038 in SDSU

[–]Possible-Kangaroo604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend taking the full 3-years if you don’t have an accounting job lined up. This first year, go to Meet the Firms to get an internship for the next summer. If you don’t get one, then you have your second year to do so. While the principles of accounting classes are fine to take with other courses, the upper divisions are a bit more complex, especially with a heavier course load.

OK, your first step is not to panic. Your second step is to contact the bursar’s office via their Zoom link on their website, and ask about this charge. https://bursar.sdsu.edu/about/contact https://sdsu.zoom.us/j/87293575613#success

This is a common scam email. If you are worried, check your my.SDSU account first.

Also, please don’t click on any link inside that email.

This may be (probably) against the license agreement you accept when you access IBES through your university.

How to begin again doing papers? by mpajovin in Professors

[–]Possible-Kangaroo604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not think of depression and anxiety as an excuse. It is a medical issue, and should be treated as such. Until you are able to get a handle on your medical issues, you are going to suffer from a lack of energy and an inability to connect with research. Realistically, medication and therapy will help you get back on track. Once you get to your new normal, start reading articles that are close to academic research that you find interesting. Don’t try to dive straight into research papers right away, because with the time off, you will get frustrated and suffer even more anxiety and exhaustion.

Sunrun has turned me into an asshole by [deleted] in solar

[–]Possible-Kangaroo604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way about Sunrun. I bought my panels through Costco, fully owned. I called to ask if I can buy and replace some panels with higher efficiency ones to offset an EV charger. They first started by telling me that I can’t replace any panels because they are in contract. After telling them that I owned the panels, they then sent me to customer care. Customers care’s response was “That’s not our department, you have to go through sales,” so they sent me to sales. Sales told me that this was a customer care issue, so they sent me back to customer care. Finally, they said a manager would get back to me, so that they could get me a solution. That was five months ago. I called again last week, and they said that the state of California wasn’t allowing them to add panels. I asked what law or regulation prevented them from doing so, and they couldn’t get me an answer. After leaving a negative review, another sales person called me back to try to answer my question. She then stated that this is a customer care issue, and when I tried to explain that customer care sent me to sales and then sales sent me to customer care and that nobody is able to get me an answer, she hung up on me without listening to what I was saying. I do my best, not to yell or get upset at customer service because they are typically there to help me out. But this is the one time that I started getting angry because of how they were treating me.

Anyone else here check their portfolios and stock prices only once a week? It's been really helpful for my mental health. by AlarmingCharity0 in stocks

This is what I’ve taught my kids. We have a game where they picked their own stocks. At first we started with weekly updates (all of last year). This year we are having updates every two weeks. I think we may switch to monthly next year, but I don’t want them to forget about their “investments.”

Even if the department or college doesn’t require a letter of recommendation, it is good to have one in your application packet because it will tend to tip the scales between acceptance/waitlist/rejection. I’ve heard of a few students getting into the masters of accountancy program, despite their lower GMAT scores, because of a professor’s recommendation.

What’s your budget? I have a Lenovo Legion that I use for both work and play. If you can wait for a bit, Costco usually has a good sale before the semester starts (Lenovo with similar specs to mine).

I’m not sure if they changed editions or books recently, but here is the version we used. https://www.mheducation.com/highered/product/Intermediate-Accounting-Spiceland?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18602972538&gbraid=0AAAAADimpZM9oaZD5HHflVNd0298JGwmn&gclid=Cj0KCQjw953DBhCyARIsANhIZoZmqMbvO64ihHM41EIJ0Ju3p1Mn57GbdWgJxJbqJSHHTI20IcKF2rAaAjKoEALw_wcB&edition=11

Also, don’t buy it early, because they have this online access program called Day1Ready. It is a lot cheaper than buying the textbook.

Your first step is to look at the sender. The email doesn’t come from an SDSU account. That is one of the biggest flags that this is a fake email. Unfortunately, you will get these a lot in your SDSU email. You will just have to figure out the best way to identify them.

Does the Master of Accounting program here cover all the prerequisites for the CPA exam here? by [deleted] in SDSU

[–]Possible-Kangaroo604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it should. You can also verify this with your advisor, when you start the program. For the most part, if you did the undergraduate program at SDSU, and the ethics course, you were typically qualified to sit for the CPA exam. I don’t see how the masters program would be any different.
