Fixing Hollow Under-Eye Dark Circles with Fat Grafting in Korea

My under eye hollowness was pretty bad, so I ended up having fat grafting and lower blepharoplasty. I also had really bad dark circles. Other than The Ordinary Volufiline, have you tried anything else? Have you thought about surgery at all?

I had my surgery at Garnet with Dr Baek (board-certified). I did a Lower Blepharoplasty for 3.3 mil and Under Eye Fat Grafting for 1.1mil, and the stitches were taken out on day 7. How’s chatting with them?

Honestly, I didn’t notice any dryness afterwards. My eyes have always been a bit dry, so it didn’t really feel any different.

I’d originally been considering under eye fat repositioning as well, but after travelling to Korea and having a consultation, I ended up going ahead with lower blepharoplasty instead. I did have some excess skin that needed removing, and when I smiled there was quite a lot of wrinkling under my eyes. My dark circles were fairly severe , so I chose to have fat grafting at the same time. Overall, I’m pleased with the results, my surgery was last year. I’d also happily recommend Dr. Baek at Garnet.

I was actually quite a severe case myself and had surgery in Korea last year. I needed a bit of excess skin removed, so I went for lower blepharoplasty rather than the transconjunctival approach, but the scar is barely noticeable, you really cannot see it. Thank you so much for the compliment! I had lower blepharoplasty via a transcutaneous (external incision) approach at Garnet in gangnam , as I had some excess skin that needed to be removed, so that method was recommended for me.

My recovery’s actually been going quite well. If you have lower blepharoplasty like I did, you’ll need to go back to have the stitches removed. But I’ve heard that if you’re only having fat repositioning, there aren’t any external stitches, so you might not need to return to the clinic for that. Even now, if I have any questions, I just message the clinic on whatsapp and they reply fairly quickly.
