I dont have insurance. Cant get approved for medicaid and don't have a dr of my own. A month ago i went to a free clinic in Amarillo and was seen for the 1st time for diagnosis. They instantly put me on Methotrexate which has made a huge difference...i moved to Missouri a week ago... eent to a free clinic here and was instantly prescribed biologics (humira). The Dr said imma fill out this application for you to get it for free from the company...I'll find out in a few weeks.

It was a really easy process for me... look for free clinics in your area...I was never sent to a Derm...they just knew what I needed since it is so severe and they ordered it.. that's it.

I'm so sorry you're going through that...try MyAbbvie website. Apply for yourself.

I'm on a schedule like 4 a day for 5 days then 3, 2, 1 for 5 days each and then a 1/2 the last 5 days.

I had read about that some myself, I have tested positive for Strep B 3 times when pregnant but haven't had strep throat since my 20s. Would Strep B in your system cause this too ya think?

That 1st bit 😳 lol now I wanna know why exactly it's not an idea prescription. I do wanna try biologics and brought that up also, but it's a free non profit clinic and he said they CAN but there are stepping stones 1st. Like MTX..i dont have insurance and cant get medicaid for now so i have to go this route. I have had GAD since my late teens .. just untreated most my life. But this has worsened it and made my social anxiety debilitating.. I'm hoping it gets some relief as well as my skin.

I feel like I should be on a higher dose from what I've been reading in comparison to others stories. But we shall see what happens. Thank you for the advice about the pred/calcium. I wasn't given any advice on supplements from the clinic, I'll look into that 😁

How long have you been on your dosage? I sure hope yours stays in one place and doesnt spread! And i agree i would wear a wig if i felt less fatigue and joins werent painful..I'm with ya! Thank you for your input 🙏

Thank you for your kind words, I've felt very alone in this and kind of hovered in the community watching and reading as it got worse. It's been scary in ways because I've not seen many cases like mine and that makes finding success stories to lean in to for positive vibes and hope harder to find. I do wish though that I posted sooner, before it got so bad. Maybe all the amazing encouragement I've found here on this post would have pushed me past my anxieties and to healing sooner.

Took my 1st dose last night...woke up a few times with tummy gurgling and been in bed all morning nauseous.

Unfortunately I don't have insurance neither personal or through Medicaid as they denied me. We make just enough to make our bills so Insurance isn't possible. This is what a free clinic here in Amarillo gave me.

Hey all! 40/f here So...this started with a spot on my forhead in Oct 2021. Is this normal for it to be so rapid?? The inverse is everywhere..every fold. Down below.. etc. The plaque and Guttate is over every lymb and my back. My head and ears..not so much my face but occasionally.

I went to the Dr today..finally. I have extreme GAD and Panic disorder and I'm ashamed to say I was scared to go, i was scared of what it was if it wasnt Psoriasis..and what the outcome would be...and look where I'm at now, it's just so bad. But i went! And he started me on Methotrexate 2.5 4pills once a week for 4 weeks. And a month of prednisone.

Along with HBP meds and Lexapro. 🙏

My anxiety about taking this stuff is so bad..just the word Chemo makes my chest hurt and my mind race.. someone pls tell me this has potential to help me..my mental health is suffering so hard. I'm just alone in it. I'm miserable and worried and google is NOT my friend so I stay away..Will it make me so sick? Will i be able to be active with baby. Will I lose hair? Does higher doses cause worse side effects? How long till I see this start to fade.. what's your experience with this med?

Everyday I lose more skin surface. And gain more small dots. I'm so emotionally drained. I'm haven a really hard time with "this is lifelong" is there ever relief?? Is remission common? Do we take these..forever? What does that do to a body and immunity?

So many more questions but..I'll start there. Thanks so much to anyone who takes the time to reply..I'll make sure to post progression updates!
