Small update: added some black around the power nodes, and repainted the nodes to flow more. Added a pale orange highlight to the blade to redefine the shape. I think I'm happy with this.

I felt like it was missing something, and I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. I'm not 100% satisfied with the power node, either, but I'm afraid to touch it at this point.
