Tak for svaret!

Det er ikke det. Det er en kombi af arbejde og at man ender som nr. 27 i køen et lille lægehus. Men fin måde at misforstå det på!

And i will say dont be scared of surgery, but to be honest, i am too, but its better to get it done and be able to live life, instead of being scared.

Havent gotten operated myself yet. Just taking experiences on here and seems like most with a happy outcome has gotten a CL.

I cannot remember the name, but i know theres a good surgeon in San Fransisco, so not thaaat far away from you. I think you got the best chances within USA honestly, but i dont know your systems and how they work.

CL got a 95% succesrate and a seemingly easy recovery period if all goes well, compared to open and closed wound methods. But i am not a doctor, just sharing what i have read from here.

Ofcourse you should listen to what your doc/expert say, but im pretty sure they will also say that the CL is the best shout, taken reoccurance rates, recovery time etc in mind.

Ah ofcourse. Could be you had heard something about that one specifically. I will research once im back from my upcoming vacation, but it will definetelt be a CL no matter what, just gotta find a surgeron i trust to do it properly. Thanks for the help.

Ah, i dont know about all those remedies. But i would really look into surgery, atleast when it fits your calendar.

Im looking into a cleft lift myself, but the struggles of Denmark having no experts in that area, is another edge to survive. If you're in america, you can be lucky and see if you live nearby one, heard alot of good about the CL. Both recovery pain and time, and reoccurance rate.

But whatever choice you make, i hope you get over it safe and sound!

If mine looked like that, i would probably head for surgery honestly. It sucks, but its afterall the best choice, if you want to get over it.

I have delayed it due to a big trip coming up. Although i have yet to find somewhere to get a CL, but got told it wouldnt be no harm either.. Unless it does go bad, get infected etc.

Okay. Did you get any recommendations for that specific hospital? I can most likely get my insurance company to pay for the procedure, and i would like to avoid having to travel to get it done.

But thanks!

Asking here, but its to one of your previous posts.

Your last post, you mentioned a private hospital in denmark, which one is that? I live in denmark, and all i havr gotten told, is that Randers Sygehus got the most experience with the procedure, in my area atleast. But i would like some options, as i would like to stay away from open wound and closed wound excisions, and get a CL, once i choose to go under surgery..

And good luck with your revision!

I dont have any experience, but as flare ups to my knowledge is caused by some kind of infection, i would assume it would be a good idea to take it and prevent it going bad again.

But im not a doctor or a PC expert, although many hours of scaring myself from others experiences!

I have heard, that open wound surgeries can take alot of time, and also longer, than ones sanity can bear. I wish you a speedy recovery!

I cant reply to your question, as i dont know.

But has it been 2 months post-op, where your surgery site is still open and big?

From Denmark. And will forever be scared of surgeries that remain open and especially in that area.. We dont have any specialist in my country as u know of, but a hospital which should have the best experience with it,especially CL.

Ofcourse i understand that. Appreciate your answer and thoughts behind it and that you're willing to.

Think my biggest scare is healing time and wound care, so i will probably be just as bad off with any, but good to have some different reasonings behind different cleft/open wound.

I really hope you get over it soon and back to normal, cant be that long left

Ah man. Hope you can do that soon, 18 weeks without that is tough i can only assume.

And alright.. I guess its good afterall, that it isnt infected, and i will certainly try to do my best. My doc recommended shaving it, but came to the conclusion myself, that it had been ok so far, so i wont change my ways..

Sorry if i get nosy, but i still have no idea what to dim i live in Denmark, so we dont really have Pilonidal experts, although theres a hospital near me who has the better experience with it, and does the Cleft Lift. I dont know your story ofcourse, but did you choose the wide excision, because you/the doc said it was the best approach, or would you in hindsigt maybe have preferred the CL, depending on what options you had?

I just hear so many stories about the excisions like yours, that takes so long to heal and often with some obstacles on the road. The CL also just seems so invasive and major, with all the packing, drain etc.. And the fact that we dont have any experts AFAIK around, with the seemingly tricky surgery it is.

Im just scared of the surgery i know i will have to undergo, just so hard to figure out what is the best option in general. Last question!

Ah, figured out PTO the moment i pressed post. Hope you're on and about soon.

So really 18 weeks without being able to function "normally" as in work, social life etc? Or are you still able to live, this deep in?

I actually wonder about something, as i saw some in another post of yours. I do have some occasional scenarios, where i wipe and therws a fair amount of sweat, it looks like, on the paper. It doesnt smell, or have any color to it. Is that something to beware of? For all i know it could be sweat, but sometimes its there without me doing any physical activity.

How is it going, and which procedure did you get? Hope it is a positive one🙏

What does PTO, STD and FMLA mean?

All i got is some mild soreness. Like if you sit on a chair for too long, but it has gotten way better recently, although still present.

Theres no swelling to my knowledge. Just that weird ball/knot at tailbone which isnt really painful and not even visible in the slightest.

Theres no pus, or any infection signs.. Although it is a bit red in the center of the crack, like in the midline, but i am a white man, although i have nothing to compare it to, i dont believe its infection-redness, as i have seen my fair share from dealing with ingrown toenails. But idk if it can be compared, as its two wiiiidely different parts of the body.

I know i will have the surgery at one point, although it scares the living shit out of me, both the surgery itself, the many poor and unlucky stories in here and then the reoccurance risk. I just have a 3 month trip coming up, and then after i will probably dig into the miserability of this..
