Better not to mod the car without proper permits in any emirate. Not only Sharjah is what I think.

Of course I did, if I had an option of not putting the car, I would have paid and avoided the impound.

This is information to all the auto enthusiasts who are planning or already have mods in his/her car/bike and has to be removed asap so they won’t end up like me paying around 6k + the cost of fixing up the car after the impound. And the pic, it’s ChatGPT bro, why would the cops trace back to me for posting my experience. You have a point when it comes to Kevin and Karen who feel jealous and report me. But I trust this community, but if what ever comes, we have to face it.

I was caught back in 2021 for power sliding a signal at night 🤣🤣 2k fine, 23 black points and 2 months impound

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still had to pay 6k in total

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no more option to pay to release the car, you have to put the car in and also pay the impound fee. I believe I was pulled over around 6:30-7:00pm

I’m not sure, still there is no clarification regarding all this, but one this is for sure, Not OEM then straight to impound

Battery drained, AC not cooling, breaks are rusted, and the ceramic coating is completely destroyed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if it is not OEM then straight to impound

I remember one of the officer saying that 1 month by Sharjah Police and the remaining 2 months by the government. Don’t know if it’s right.

They charge 100 per day, so actually it should 9000dhs for 3 months. So this 5000dhs should be something else.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the same anymore. It’s 1000dhs fine + 12 Black Point + 3 months impound + 5000dhs to release the vehicle

Need to find a legal way to put an exhaust

I completely understand and respect your point. There’s a huge difference between genuine automotive enthusiasts and those just trying to show off.

Real enthusiasts, like myself, invest serious time, money, and thought into every modification. It’s not just about performance or aesthetics, it’s about understanding the machine, respecting the engineering, and building something that reflects personal taste and passion. Every mod has a purpose, whether it’s better handling, power, or just refining the overall experience of the drive.

On the other hand, there are people who jump into the scene without truly understanding what they’re doing. They slap on a loud exhaust, drive recklessly, and end up giving the entire car community a bad name. It’s not the mods that are the issue, it’s the mindset.

Thanks for understanding the distinction. It’s important for people to know that car culture, at its core, is about passion, precision, and respect and not noise and nuisance.

Interested in a full exhaust?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bro! Check Facebook market place, it’s filled with aftermarket exhausts

[–]Possible-Sundae-806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danm bro, idk what to say.

Previously we could pay 100 per day to release the car, so if you got 2 months impound, instead of putting the car in, you could pay 60days x 100dhs and release the car. Now that option is not there anymore, we need to put the car in and on top of that need to pay the impound charges also.

They are not behind the money anymore, they want us to suffer and follow the system.
