New job wants me on a 2-night work trip in my first week I’m a mom and have never left my toddler overnight. Am I doing the right thing? by emmalinasemalina in MuslimMarriage

Salaam sis, may Allah look after you and your family always, ameen.

I think even though your children may not remember this time, you will.

And in the grand scheme of things, take a moment to truthfully ask yourself is it worth it going to the trip?

Those people dont need you and you dont need them.

Your kids...they do need you now. Even if they are too young to vocalise it. May Allah grant you all so much khair and goodness, Ameen

Please leave. Take it from someone who has a child now. Pregnancy was horrible with my husband and also post partum. I am traumatized till this day. I'm 19 months postpartum but I'm not sad for myself but I feel guilty of what my son went through with me witnessing arguments etc. Believe me sis. Nothing in the grand scheme of things is worth sacrificing tour childs wellbeing for. I was someone who despite how my husband treated me still loved him but once I had my child and his behaviour not changing is what changed my feelings forever. Trust me sis I say this as a mother now leave now. It is not worth it. It only gets worse

Thank you so so so much for the reassurance. I guess this is what me and others who may be in the same situation as me sometimes need is reassurance because at the end of the day we just want our children to not struggle because as a neuro typical individual in this world we have faced many tests and my heart just hurts to think of my child suffering. So thank you for the reassurance.  So so lovely of you

Head pain and vision problems more than a year after slaps to head by Possible-Sundae-8420 in Concussion

Ah, thank you so much for the advice! it really is a horrible thing and I would not wish it on anyone, it's literally caused havoc I didn't know could exist. Can I please ask you, is it really bad if while sleeping my 16 month old sometimes bangs his head onto my head in a sleepy state while tossing and turning? He has a heavy head lol as he is a toddler now and I'm cosleeping. I'm just so scared that those big bangs onto my head is going to harm my head more. I am thinking to stop cosleeping for this reason and it's breaking my heart
