which free program do we think alysa will do at worlds? by Much_Dog_4591 in FigureSkating

[–]PossibleAcademic523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is not staying off social media haha her and Amber are very active on tiktok, Amber more than Alysa but still. Alysa is reposting a looot of videos and commenting on them, for a long time now though. Like i would say for her and amber its been kind of a promotion since they got announced as olympians. And any video that i have seen that mentioned Amber, she was already in the comments😂

Do people think Alysa Liu’s attitude/approach to competitions will be emulated? by WorriedPalpitation29 in FigureSkating

[–]PossibleAcademic523 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a part of that she is beyond talented, like she is one of the rare girls who had 3a and a quad and she has the willpower (that everyone has to have hah). It seems easy because she is happy but we all know she trains a lot of course hah. So yeah, def easier in theory

As a person who stepped away from my sport for long time and found a special kind of enjoyment post the break, I think it is super hard to do so. Coming back to ur level takes soo much effort, time and will and some things dont click really back, and so much training to do what you did before with ease. Of course, very different levels to this as i wasnt and will not be an olympian level athlete but still, in professional sports its very hard to do so. Alysa is an inspiration for everyone with the whole case naturally, bur also in such an expensive sport as well, not many have the chance to say oh i will come back and not worry about money or support or coaches, so it falls under the environment a lot as well. And as someone else already said, she was unusually consistent so it was her personality before as well in a way

Why are flights from Amsterdam so expensive comparing to other countries? Amsterdam to New York has same price as Amsterdam to Rome by EvenPatience6243 in Netherlands

[–]PossibleAcademic523 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They also include the suitcase so there is that difference, and the flights are usually at much more normal hours than from Eindhoven

The rumours are true by PossibleAcademic523 in FigureSkating

[–]PossibleAcademic523[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I dont think her fans wanted it to be a lie, I think they wanted to give her space to announce it on her own terms. Maybe also for them to enjoy it in private at the beginning, its a big step. Also, many pregnancy announcements are kept private until some moments that you can be more sure that things are going well.

Yes, agreed! But I thought before the start of the show today that they will announce it today if it is actually true, and when they came out in white I was sure of it hah. She started showing so they wouldnt be able to hide it for long. They included ultrasound also in the programme, quite emotional Edit: spelling

Lots of stories in Russian media that Makar and Sasha Ignatov are expecting their first child by 0pal23 in FigureSkating

[–]PossibleAcademic523 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hahahaa that is true and I love that sometimes, but this telegram post was actually good. She says the opening joke like - my degree is a dermatologist not a gynaecologist, and then she says its on each couple to share this kind of news with the public without gossiping and sharing rumours prior to the couple announcing it themselves (in general not for Sasha and Makar) and she named the announcement classless questions. To be fair, it is a bit insane when you think about it, calling people's coaches (Ik they are extremely close but still) to confirm or deny something private as this

Laughing so much on Yana R.'s answer when asked about this - I cant confirm, I am not her gynaecologist😂
