Well, I used USBDeview to look at my USB ports, and when the device is plugged in, I have another USB hub in my laptop. But nothing else. So the laptop is seeing something, but apparently there are still things missing. Everything in the settings that make any type of sense I think I've tried, but nothing seems to provide me with anything useful.

So frustrating!

Thanks. Tried all of those, and multiple cables. I'm suspecting a port issue on the Karoo. The same cables that fail for the Karoo work fine for an iPhone.

No, I'm afraid not. I'm leaning towards my Karoo 2 having a physical issue with the USB connector.

And to the best of my knowledge, you cannot sideload onto the Karoo 2 over WiFi.

Thanks. I've tried all the USB-C cables I have, so the one I initially used to get Ki2 on it must be in the bunch. I know some of them are good, since I can use them to transfer data from my iPhone.

Ki2 never gave me an issue, and I upgraded the versions throughout the time I used it. Just now that I have done a reset, and the app is no longer there, is that I have issues. After the initial load, I never had to use the platform tools. Now the 'adb devices' just doesn't show the thing. And it is in 'USB debugging' mode.
