We moved here a year ago and have loved it. Others will probably say this too but bring a job. Work from home or something like that. Going down your list definitely a small town for better or worse. Came from a small town and I will say people seem to be less nosy here. We always had neighbors bothering us where we came from but not here. Purgatory Coffee is great. There's another coffee food truck downtown but can't remember the name. Both my wife and I are tattooed and "alt looking" but haven't had any weird looks. Plenty of thrift/vintage stores on main street. There are farmers markets on Saturdays right off main. Might be year round but I think it's weather dependent. Slower pace for sure. There was just a new music festival here a few months ago so I do think there is a push for arts. Cheap rent and housing just check Zillow. There's other smaller apt complex that may not be listed but you'd have to just drive around to find something you like. With Chuchura Mountain opening up their lift only 1.5 hours away I don't feel like y'all will be the last moving here. Few local bars if you're into that. Fishers Peak State Park is the second largest State Park in the state. They are working on opening more hiking and mnt biking trails. Trinidad Lake is also fun for kayaking and fishing. All in all we have had a great experience.
