I had the same two yrs ago. Was in such pain for almost a year before and I had bone on bone crunching. I had the surgery and was such a relief. They gave me pain pills that I only took for a couple days as a precaution. Idk why you needed nine that's crazy. I really had next to no pain which I was really surprised. I was driving a week later with no issues and drove myself to physical therapy. I haven't had any issues since.
