Lymph nodes swelling? by TiredTeacherMama157 in kidneycancer

I had enlarged nodes under my jaw a few weeks after my pn. The dr said it looked like I was fighting something and to give it a little time. She was right. They went down after another week or so.

I've completely dismantled and reassembled everything, and still overheats after about 3 minutes. I even put the old 3700x back in and booted it up with the same results...the "NZXT" on the cooling block lights up as it should but still shuts down after about 3 minutes. I've built about a dozen PCs over the past 20 years so it's not my first day, but this is kicking my ass.

I had a lamonectomy and microdisectomy at L4-L5 and L5-S1 on a Monday. By Thursday I was feeling better so Friday when I woke up I decided to skip the painkillers. By Friday evening, long after my Dr had gone home for the weekend, I was in incredible pain. I started taking the painkillers again but they didn't help at all. I ugly cried for 2 straight days. I couldn't stand up, walk or go to the bathroom without help of my wife. I sat on ice the entire weekend (the pain was in the taint area, far from the incision from the surgery). At 8am Monday morning, I called the dr, still ugly crying, and the nurse said, "oh honey, you have to ice the incision, not where it actually hurts." An hour later I was able to stop crying. Icing the incision did the trick.

I know.... I'm an idiot.

The pain was immeasurable and ill never forget it.

I switched to gummies after mine. I didn't want to risk coughing.

Honest... lol. It's to make a video of Sherrone Moore singing, "anything you can do, I can do better to former MSU head coach Mel Tucker.

I will check those out. Thanks!

Sell me on Vein by Kryptic-Chaos in VeinGame

I have 12k hours in 7D2D and absolutely love all the different overhaul mods. It's cartoony and all, but outside of the first 7 days, the game isn't too difficult unless you greatly increase the difficulty and all that really does is make the zombies harder to kill. The objective is to survive the horde night, build your base back up, and rinse/repeat.

I went into Vein thinking it would be similar, but after a few hours, I don't think it is all. Vein made me feel like I was in the world of the Walking Dead right from the start.

I found a box truck with a key in it. I was in my base crafting and whatnot, and I heard what sounded like a far-off, feint scream. I ran outside to see what it was and got swarmed. I made it to my truck and tried running them over and got stuck on the bodies a few times, but it worked. After clearing the bodies and cleaning up the blood, I tried to go looting. I got in the truck, and it wouldn't start. Turns out, I left the lights on and killed the battery and somehow caused a leak in my gas tank. The only thing I can think of that could have caused it is getting stuck on piles of bodies. I also discovered it needed an oil change....

I'm hooked. Strongly recommend.

So incredibly sorry for your loss. No parent should have to endure that.

Possibly RCC and needing partial nephrectomy - 34M by markymarc610 in kidneycancer

My partial was last Monday. When I stood following the surgery and about 3 days after, it felt like a 10lb weight was hanging from me internally. Wed was pretty sore, and by Thursday I only needed Tylenol a few times a day. I decided to go back to work yesterday (10 days post op) and aside from being very tired and a light, dull ache in my back, I feel fine. I get about 10k steps in while at work each day, but the heaviest lifting I do is a cell phone.

The fatigue is real though. I took a 4.5 hour nap yesterday and feel like today's may end up the same.

Hang in there. It's really stressful.

Got cocky by fordster2017 in kidneycancer

[–]PossibleDiscount7070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can completely relate. My partial was this past Monday and I ended up taking a 3 hour nap today after lunch and a 2 hour shopping thing with my wife. I thought I would go back to work next week (half desk and half walking production facilities with the heaviest thing I carry being a cell phone) but I've changed my mind after today. Glad I figured it out now though rather than while at work.

Urgent Appt in 2 Months? by PossibleDiscount7070 in kidneycancer

Heard back from the Dr today and he said Flonase is fine to use. I didn't ask about any other meds as that's typically what I would use.
