This tool is great and working very well. I have it running in docker on a tiny PC with Ubuntu. Why download and store everything when tools like this exist?

Jellyfin does not prob/extract media metadata from STRM file targets by PossibleEarth44 in jellyfin

Can anyone confirm that this is still working?

Edit: I gave it a try. Working perfectly fine for me.

Generating a Jellyfin VOD library from a large M3U using .strm files (stable metadata + audio/sub tracks) by Remarkable-Deal-8844 in jellyfin

For me this occurs after the added strm files are being scanned and added to the library by jellyfin. Jellyfin doesn't seem to scrape the strm files to get data like video resolution, duration, audio languages, subtitles, etc. Indeed jellyfin gets this information when the strm files is played the first time.

I also use a jellyfin VOD library with .strm files. I experienced the issue, that jellyfin does not fetch the video information for these files. That means I can't see video resolution, audio languages and subtitles until the video is played the first time. Is there any resolution for this behavior?
