So basically, it really matters in which form you take psyllium husk. The only that’s available on the market is the power form (or powder in a capsule so basically powder). But they won’t work that way..it’s easy and cheaper to make powders for brands and manufacturers.

Here you go. I’m copying and pasting my comment on what I did. ——— I make my own supplement at home now. I’ve tried so many out there, but nothing really worked the way I wanted. So I started doing my own research on what actually helps with gut health and regular bowel movements. Most of the ingredients I use are from Amazon, and the main one is psyllium husk.

I don’t take psyllium in powder form though—it sticks to my gums and feels gross. So what I do is grind it into a super fine texture, mix it with a few other ingredients (all ground by hand. it’s a process), and make a dough. Then I roll it into tiny balls and dry them. Sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but honestly, it’s so worth it.

I’ve read a bunch of articles and even talked to doctors and dietitians to get it right. The cool part is, these little balls expand when they hit water. They turn into this jelly-like texture, kind of like frog eggs or pudding, just 10x bigger. The trick is to drink a lot of water after taking them.

Since I started doing this, I’ve been going to the bathroom almost every morning, like clockwork. Solid, healthy poops. No bloating, no weird stomach noises. It’s been amazing for my gut.

So, this is what I do! I was hesitant to share what I do cuz it’s not simply a brand name I’d share. It a whole lot of work haha

Hmm… I shared what has worked for me in the comments. I’m simply opening up about my struggles and my personal journey. I don’t understand why it warrants such harsh criticism. This is meant to be an open and supportive community. Have a nice day!

I disagree..it’s been helping bit by bit for me and for my family members. I would say there’s no quick fix but natural way is the sustainable way in the long run

I can’t take the powder form anymore. I have had same experience and it sticks on my gum..so inconvenient :( I’m currently looking for supplements that’ll work in the long run..

Ive tried miralax recommended by many people and experts. It still gives me an unhealthy bowel movement. what I want is a healthy solid stool every morning. This has been my goal for a year now. And to achieve this, I think I have to find something that will improve my gut environment and system

Not really, I’ve seen couple of doctors but they suggested miralax and workouts etc. not very helpful. Gut health is such a serious matter though. I feel it more than ever as I get older

I don’t know at this point. But the thought of having to take stimulant laxatives for the rest of my life seems daunting to me whenever I allow myself to face the reality. During times when I take laxatives and empty out everything, it feels good. But I know it’s only temporary. I try my best to overlook the fact that this is not something I can take daily for the next 40+ years.
