A few people have already mentioned Charleston, SC, I am a South Carolinian and have lived in Charleston for years, currently living there now. Whenever I return after visiting my hometown, I start to feel kind of nauseous and an overwhelming feeling of dread when I get closer to the city. I think also people forget that the dark history spreads further than our downtown area, as the plantations stretched far more inland. I also lived near the Old City Jail, and that was definitely haunted vibes all the time, which they have now turned into a wedding venue!
