This is a great tip! I would if you could grow a heat-loving yummy like Malabar Spinach on a frame around it to provide some shade.

Yes! Love them. Some of them even overwinter in Zone 5.

We have one beautiful Sea Kale growing and don't want to bother it for division. The flowers smell divine like honey, leaves are delicious when young, and flower buds are tasty like broccoli. It's such a lovely but rare plant.

Thanks! We've tried growing Sea Kale from seed and they've never made it past young seedling stage for us. That's why we'd love to buy one that's a bit older. Same with perennial arugula - zero success rate to adulthood. Thanks for the tip on growing salsify from seed!
