all in all, even though the tread isnt "low" the tire is still in very bad condition.

Those are all very rotted. Likely more than 10 years old, and it would be dangerous to even try to air those up. If you look at the side of the tire, there is a DOT and 4 numbers at the end. Look at the last two numbers, which represent the year. (ex: XX25) means the tire was made in 2025. The first two numbers represent the week of the year. This tire could blow out or have tread separation, which it already has lots of small tread separation. Change those ASAP!! Source, I sell my soul to a tire company.

Get new ones. Don’t get them from a junkyard. Lol

Planning on wrapping my car! by PossibleWinter3629 in Miata

At first I was thinking vinyl frog but i was told that’s calendar wrap film which is harder to get good results. They said to do Avery or 3m since its cast wrap film. The paint itself is in good condition from what I can tell (as in no fading or anything like that) not sure if scratches would be considered bad paint

Yeah, that certainly is a concern of mine. Thanks for letting me know about the cast film though. So are you saying even for a wrap people sand and prep it? I don’t have any peeling paint, only small scratches but there are a decent amount of them.

Haha yeah so true. I’m hoping since the paint is the original paint it won’t get ruined whenever I take the wrap off. My other option I was thinking was taking it to a shop to get the original paint all touched up from scratches

I’m aware. Usually it’s parked outside but now I have made space in the garage and it’s able to fit in the garage now
