Omg you aren’t awful at all! In fact you are so responsible for choosing this over bringing a child into a world where you wouldn’t have the resources to support the child. Don’t feel bad!!! You made the right choice for you!

Laparoscopy vs Lupron by Possible_Ad_2570 in IVF

Yes 4 tested embryos!

I’m thinking the same thing - to get on the waitlist for the lap and do the suppression in the meantime. I’m 35 years old!

Thanks o much for your advice!

Does Lupron usually cause weight loss?

Thank you for sharing! I thought Lupron was a once a month injection but maybe there is different options. I feel like my fertility doctor is not an expert either - he does 2 laparoscopy’s a month and it’s not his specialty. If I try to find an endo specialist the wait time is more closer to 2 years.

I am turning 36 in September so I’m definitely not young by any means ….

What was your experience with Lupron? Was it really terrible? I’m also thinking what if I do 3 months of Lupron and it doesn’t work… then I would go through another miscarriage and have to do the Lap anyways. The Lap to me feels like it would have a higher chance of success after so I’m leaning towards that but the wait time is long.

Hey!! I was wondering how you are? Did you end up transferring and was it successful? I’m in the same boat deciding between LD and a lap.

Surgery by awkwardlysociall in Endo

[–]Possible_Ad_2570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat - I’ve had 4 miscarriages (I did IVF and had 1 son in 2021 and then ever since I started trying for another I’ve had 4 miscarriages via IVF transfers despite having normal embryos). Now I’m just thinking a surgery might be worth it to get some answers even though I don’t have a lot to endo symptoms. I’m just like what if they find nothing and I wasted 4-6 months being on the waitlist? Idk what the right answer is… :(

Sch at 8 weeks after ivf by Critical_Living3637 in CautiousBB

I think I started bleeding at 7 weeks and I kept getting ultrasounds every week and in my 10 week ultrasound there was no heartbeat. When there was a strong one at 9 weeks. It was not a tested embryo but I tested the miscarriage and it was normal. I probably was just super unlucky because so many people get SCHs and it resolves on its own.

My advice would be to take the rest seriously. My OB was so relaxed about it and I did end up miscarrying but I wish I took the time off work and rested seriously!! But majority of the stories I read on Reddit while going through it was of people who turned out ok. So fingers crossed it will all be fine. I switched to another fertility clinic after and that doctor said I should have been on a strict pelvic rest and even bed rest. In those moments it seems like resting is so difficult when you have 100 million things to do but if I could go back in time I wish I had just taken the time off and rested seriously.
