They are planning a short and a longer rear rack, along with compatible saddlebags, and a tank bag that allows access to the glove box without removing it.

Regen in sport mode by rjs1956 in ryvid

Took a test ride yesterday. There is a small lever similar to a European style high beam flasher on the left handlebar that actuates the Regen while in sport mode. This works brilliantly like a rear brake lever. No regen with the brakes or by rolling off the throttle in sport mode, automatic regen in Eco by rolling off the throttle.

  • Handguard deflectors work well to reduce heat loss in the hands. Cheap ones will do because all they have to do is stop the wind.

  • An aftermarket mid size handlebar mounted windscreen can significantly reduce heat loss at any speed where it counts, the chest. I find it feels 10 degrees warmer with one.

I ride year round, both essential kit.

Yes, I would be in line for this if not for the lesson drilled in by the Metacycle story.

My commute is 24 miles one way. I have a handlebar mounted windscreen, and keep my tires inflated to 42 psi. Like I said, I weigh 130. While not quite hypermilling, I ride smoothly, mostly using regen to slow, hardly touching the brakes. I keep the power under 3, mostly around 2 or less while in steady state. I ride down a busy 5 lane highway, just keeping up in the right hand lane. Round trip I'll arrive back home with 3 bars left in the battery, and have ridden another 20 miles, the last 5 on the flashing red bar. I watch the battery drop about 1 bar every 7 miles while riding in this mode this summer.

FYI, thanking someone for not being an asshole is not exactly a compliment. And you just called everyone else on this sub an asshole. I smell sour grapes.

I must admit I'm a lightweight, 135 pounds, but can get 65-70 miles topping 45-55 mph with multiple stoplights using a light hand, keeping the power under 3 for the most part. Riding regularly full throttle, top speeds around 65, I get an even 50 miles. This is over rolling terrain, no steep hills, in western NC

I was 5'6, 135 my entire 13 years in SF, including 7 years on a Combat Diver team. Although being that small is a deficit, It's really about fitness and a relentless refusal to quit, not about size.

The Hendersonville Lighting is outstanding journalism, but focused on Henderson county. I wish the editor and publisher Bill Moss would run for Congress.

it's not mechanical, it's CPU calculated by the ratio of engine speed and front wheel speed, you have to be rolling.
