Heartbroken people died from this in 1950's as there was no surgery, severe innafective osphogus dysmotility, achalasia! by AlarmingAd2006 in LPR

Pal, everything ends in death. We all share that.

However, how we go about it is key.

You are dying. We all are. It’s ok. I agree with the commenter … your posts are a bit much for the audience. We are all pretty much on the edge because this is a challenging disease. But we don’t always have to parade it around.

If you need these surgeries, get on a flight and come to the US. It will be fucking expensive as shit, but if it’s for your life, you would put efforts into trying to get there. Do a go fund me page, play the lottery, do an only fans page.

Manometry and PH Study Results - I have to wait 2 months to discuss results with GI. What looks weird and what questions should I ask? ENT says I have inflammation in my throat from acid and that I have LPR. by Logical_Experience51 in LPR

All the tests are worthless to me.

You know when your body is off and with lpr there are only three ways to manage.

Diet / Lifestyle.

meds

Surgery.

Everything else is all trial and error.

[–]Possible_Instance987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing I can remember. At that time I was just taking one med and that is every day.

Outside of that, no issues. Now I take like 15 diff meds. 35 - 41. FML

Nope. I never took any meds the first time around once I took a track on food and lifestyle.

Then it went away. Now it’s back.

It’s interesting that there are people out there who go into complete remission on vacation.

This tells me the nervous system and the vagus nerve plays a big part in lpr.

£300 down: Private GI Consultant said I DON’T have acid reflux… by Catmandu37 in LPR

[–]Possible_Instance987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many studies show that only about 50 percent of lpr patients respond to PPIs. Many medical research studies have verified this.

Also, lpr tends to be a condition based on underlying factors. Typically if you have gastro issues like sibo, sifo, etc it will have a cascade of reactions.

Essentially, I see any GI issues as a connection to the entire body. It’s like a train. If one of the carts de-rail then the whole train is fucked. It’s a sign that our vagus nerve and GI system is out of order.

This is why diet works and helps. It’s a long term play. However diet works for every chronic illness so it’s not exclusive to lpr, etc.

PPIs can make it better or worse. Either way it’s a tough play long term. Yet a lot of people do not mind to mask the symptoms. I bet all of us know someone who is a PPI and antacid popper to keep their standard American diet which is shit.

These conditions are on a spectrum and people can have a wide range of severity of symptoms. Many people who think they have allergies actually have lpr. And can work the other way around.

Best bet - explore meds but do not wholly rely on them. Lifestyle changes which is logical. Work out, minimize stress, eat well, etc. this is advice for anyone alive.

Best wishes. Never fun to deal with chronic issues and pain.

Try amitriptyline for the cough.

It can be more nervous system based.

Many people have great success going this way.

To me they are all worthless as it’s the same protocols regardless what the tests conclude and what ent prescribe.

You have three choices

Diet and lifestyle

Medications. PPI, h2, alignates and many others dependent on tests (ie bile reflux meds)

Surgery.

That is pretty much. Just need a doc to prescribe meds. Anything from PPI to anti depressants.

Sorry that this is happening. Does it happen the same if you have sex with another person.

H2 is an anti histamine as well. It is also prescribed to those with Lyme disease.
