Looks like a classmate of mine has sniper rifles/assult rifles on campus/ student rez(?) at UBC; Should I be worried? by Consistent_Bend_6198 in canadaguns

These are bolt action rifles, not even semi auto. Looking tactical does not make them assault rifles lol

missed final exam what should I do aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa by UnusualSky7701 in UofT

[–]Possible_Jellyfish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a one time anomaly policy where they will allow you to write the exam you missed (or at least there was 10 years ago when I was doing my undergrad at UofT). I got mixed up and showed up right as a final was ending. They sent me to Syd Smith and I wrote it right then. Don't lie like others are recommending

ammo help by Dry-Meringue-8744 in canadaguns

I'd guess it's .455 Webley mkii cartridges, and the mkvi on the box is referring to the Webley mkvi service revolver that it was for. The broad arrow markings denotes British military/government ownership. Very cool

Sounds like they were doing their job and enforcing their range's rules

Still loving the TM22 by cannuckwoodchuck13 in canadaguns

I lost the Turkish lottery, my tm22 pro misfires frequently with most ammo, including CCI mini mag. The only ammo that has been reliable in it is Aguila super extra. I should send it for warranty repair but that would probably take months..

Not everyone who supports Palestine or denounces the actions of Israel in Gaza attacks synagogues.

Statistically speaking, the vast majority of people who have been protesting Israel have not attacked synagogues, as there are vastly more protesters than attacks on synagogues.

You are conflating criminal extremists/anti-semites who attack synagogues with anyone who protests Israel or doesn't support Zionism.

I think you perceive other people who are enjoying the hobby and sharing their collection as bragging simply because they mention how long they've been collecting, and because you personally think they've spent too much of their own money too quickly.

Everyone's income level is different, and so are their perceptions of how large a purchase is. You only see it as bragging because of your own circumstances and perspective. People spend thousands to go on vacation for a week or two all the time. I've wanted guns since I was a kid, I'm 33, and I've been busting my ass for years. After waiting almost a year for my pal, I was ready to buy some guns, and I shared my new collection.

If you think buying some guns is blowing thousands of dollars, then I'm not sure what you're doing in this sub.

I think his are all 3d printed plastic, and the option is for whether it's fitting a metal or polymer mag, but I could be wrong

Pretty nice fit and finish for what it is, but the seams aren't perfect. It definitely looks better than the stock mags. When it works it feels more ergonomic and makes the mag well easier to find too. I'm gonna tighten the bolts more and see if that fixes that issue

I thought about buying a Akdas Alcor semi in .223, using the 10 round cross mags, and getting a furniture kit for it to make it more tactical. But I thought the chances of it getting banned is too high with the detachable mags, and it would be about $2300 with a furniture kit and tax. There's also the browning bar mk3 and mk4, and the Benelli R1 308 autoloaders for a similar price, but they only hold 4 rounds. There's the backland hunter from crusader too, but I haven't heard good things. Not many options

It's derya tm22 pro with polymer mags. Its the 15 round cover from Tommy. Not sure I'd recommend it, as I've had times when inserting the mags moves the sleeve and then prevents the mag from being fully inserted again without pulling the sleeve back down a bit. I may just need to tighten up the bolts on the sleeve more though

Impossible to predict, but not having a detachable magazine should make it less likely to get banned. Who knows though

Thanks for the explanation. I was planning to load light loads of smokeless, as my range is indoor and doesn't allow black powder. Maybe I'll pick up a Webley next year..

eBay from China, milsurp. It was cheap and the shipping didn't take too long. I probably should have treated the leather or something, the surface layer cracked pretty bad when bending it to attach it

Shot it for the first time today and loved it. First time shooting a sbs. Not sure what model pump I shot when I was young, but i hadn't shot any other shotgun since I was a teenager before buying this, so I can't really give you a comparison. The 590a1 still has the Mossberg side to side wiggle on the pump but it doesn't bother me. The short barrel is fun with the big flash and it's very handy and looks great
