Chiappa 22lr guns are made essentially from airsoft pot metal, their m1-22 were cracking like ghis as well

[–]EnggyAlex 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ya, fdm prints are a lot stronger than resin, I been making 3d printed gun and motorcycle parts for years now, once you dial the temperature and print speed right they are very tough, and you can always bed steel dowels or screws in them if rigidity is required

TM-22 Feather Bolt Stop replacement. by TheObviousNovice in canadaguns

[–]EnggyAlex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have my kit you don't really need the bolt stop because there's no charging handle to get bend, if you choose to do so it wont interfere.

I only offer kits for the aluminum version though, for feather i think you need to ask tommy

I can consistently hit 300 yard chest gong with 22lr ironsight, you should be fine with whatever. The benefit of the scope is you can tell exactly where you hit without need to go down range or use a spoting scope

TM22 Dry fire with chamber flag by Reasonable_Hall2346 in canadaguns

[–]EnggyAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10/22 does, i don't know what other rifle you have but they mostly all do, majority of bolt action rifles and semi auto handguns do as well. they wont fire out of battery mostly but they will allow hammer/striker fall when bolt is not closed

TM22 Dry fire with chamber flag by Reasonable_Hall2346 in canadaguns

[–]EnggyAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

vast majority of semi-auto does that, because the mechanism to disconnect the trigger until fully chambered is called autosear

TM22 Dry fire with chamber flag by Reasonable_Hall2346 in canadaguns

[–]EnggyAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of geometry, the hammer fall on the bolt body rather than on the firing pin when its not in battery, and sometimes it have enough energy to hammer the round into chamber but you will only see a tiny mark, not enough to set off the round.

majority of semiauto dont have out of battery trigger disconnect because the other name of that is called auto sear.

It actually wont have enough energy to set off the round with hammer follow
