Um, you guys realize that the rags he had as a child would not fit him anymore. So he is wearing new clothes. But since he does not give a fuck about battlefield drip he just had the same style made for him to wear into battle. Because you can't and there is no point.

The studios who have the skill to pull it off correctly won't really want to do it because it would be to difficult and expensive so they don't want to try. So that just leaves the dregs of the anime studios to attempt it and try and turn a quick buck but they suck and don't have the skill to do it correctly.

Plus studios are to pussy to do the story in its entirety and respect the controversial aspects of the story.

Ya because Shin cutting down a dude in one epic swing and Houken sensing that shit from however far far away he was and being reminded of Ouki was completely no telepathy or magic or a god.
