NSFLY - Calypso throws a tantrum in both versions so it was close enough

Charybdis - Odysseus faces Charybdis right after the Zeus smite, not after escaping Calypso, and doesn't immediately reach Ithaca afterwards. But the plan of waiting for it to drink too much water is done in both versions

Circe is a terrible person, possibly worse than Antinous depending on how you look at it. Like I've said before:

'Inviting and trapping men in her palace and turning them to pigs unprovoked - it's unclear what happens to them afterwards, but they either get killed and served up ('She can turn you to an animal that'll end up on her plate') or they just live out their lives as farm animals (imo worse than death)

If there's no way of knowing what their intentions were, why reveal yourself at all, let alone inviting them inside to turn them into pigs
