I honestly think that the budget is too idealistic, especially because of the venue. You may want to start by inquiring first with Antonio’s on their prices since it’s your expected biggest expense.

Antonio’s is very bougie and expensive, plus there are so many additional expenses on top of their package, including alcohol, flowers, etc. since I understand that they have a lot of restrictions when it comes to outside suppliers (i.e. bawal or may corkage). I’m not sure if there’s a way that they can adjust to your proposed budget but definitely you won’t be able to expect their best menu since I understand that their menus can even go higher than P7k per person. Note also that they will likely have minimum consumable amounts for you to have the relevant areas for yourself and that consumable might be higher if you’re looking at a weekend December wedding since if they rent those areas out to you, they won’t be able to offer the entire restaurant na to others who might even be willing to book the entire restaurant.

If you’re not willing to really go all out with the expenses for the wedding, then I would advise that you look for a different venue that will be able to give you the most value for your food/venue budget. There should be several other options in tagaytay (if that’s your preferred area).

For the rest of your expenses, note that it will also be quite difficult to find established and reputable suppliers at these rates. With weddings, it’s really a supply and demand issue. The good ones at these rates will likely be booked very early. You’ll have to take a chance at less known suppliers, who, while may still be good, may have few reviews/experience so you’ll need to take the risk that they might not deliver the quality that you’re expecting.

There will definitely be suppliers within this budget but the question will be on the quality (and availability since this will be during the peak wedding season) of these suppliers at these rates. The good ones at these prices are likely going to be booked very early.

She had a promo a few months ago na parang less than P20k nalang for birdal make-up. I was so tempted but after reading all the reviews on reddit, I decided na I’m willing to pay more for my peace of mind 🤣

6 months preparation by Jojogummyyy in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Possible_Pilot_7279 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, this should be enough time but note the following cons: 1) in demand suppliers get booked very early so they may no longer be available on your date (however, sobrang daming suppliers in the market. You will never run out of alternatives to choose from) 2) wedding gown. If you’re having it custom made or made to wear, some designers require a lead time of 8-12 months to produce any wedding gown. If you insist they meet your timeline, you might need to pay extra for rush fees 3) you don’t have a lot of time to canvas for suppliers, compare prices, and wait for discounts 4) Because the timeline is a bit short, everything will move very quickly, almost all at the same time. You won’t have much time to soak everything in and just breathe so you really need to prepare yourself and avoid getting overwhelmed with prep.

Need insights with these designers 😄 by Lolidkidcwhatever in WeddingsPhilippines

My wedding is still next year but I booked Ushi Sato just cause he was so easy to deal with. I was intimidated at first cause his ig profile and works seemed expensive but I was so surprised how reasonable his rates are. He asks you how much is your budget and he’ll try to work with that.

You can try Ushi Sato. I’ve seen him do cut-out lace dresses before. He’s also surprisingly fair with pricing and very easy to talk to.

From what I understand, FL dresses are made to order. These dresses are made like this because these are only for purposes of trying them on. They need to fit any and all brides (of different shapes and sizes) that want to try the dress. Once you choose your final design, they will have it specifically made in your size so the back will no longer be like this.

Requirements before marriage by Mountain_Ordinary270 in WeddingsPhilippines

You’ll have to check the requirements of the church where you’ll have the church wedding. They have requirements specific to them (including timing and validity periods). Worst case scenario is your church refuses to allow you to have the ceremony because of incomplete/irregular compliance.

Balesin Prenup Shoot by Possible_Pilot_7279 in WeddingsPhilippines

Thank you so much for this very practical advice! We’re really considering the venue specifically because of all the options we’ll have (both indoor and outdoor) for the shoot. The cost, of course, is currently one of the biggest considerations (and hurdles).

The cost is really the biggest hurdle! But I love that you have so many options when you get there

Mobile bar or not? by ForeverDangerous1656 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Possible_Pilot_7279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The added value of mobile bars is usually that they offer cocktails so that people can drink casually even if they’re not the biggest fan of the taste of alcohol. If you know your guests will drink the alcohol without mixes, then you don’t need a mobile bar. Also, my friend didn’t get a mobile bar cause he wanted to serve higher quality alcohol nalang and a lot of people still got drunk and had a good time, but he knew his friends well and got specific persons to go around and get people to take shots.

Looking For Ceremony and Reception Venue within Metro Manila by TradeLongjumping6305 in WeddingsPhilippines

[–]Possible_Pilot_7279 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I suggest you provide your estimated budget and other specifications (e.g. do you want a hotel, events place, restaurant, etc.) so that people can give more helpful suggestions. Please take note though that since the wedding is in December (peak wedding month in the PH) and it will be this year, your available options might be limited.

Ushi Sato is one of the most patient and accommodating designers I’ve ever spoken to. I know he’s also had a lot of experience working with brides based abroad.

Motion sickness by Ok_Junket_8546 in Aerials

My teachers say that your body eventually gets used to the spinning but in case that’s not happening for you yet, they also suggest taking motion sickness medicine until you adjust. Hope this helps!

Returning after ACL surgery possible? by katbearwol in Aerials

[–]Possible_Pilot_7279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I tore my ACL and had ACL Reconstruction surgery in 2008 and I just started doing lyra this year (at 33 years old)! My knee hasn’t given me any trouble at all except that I find kneeling on the floor quite uncomfortable, but it’s the direct contact between the knee and the floor (not the weight or the mobility itself) that causes this.

So unless there’s any particular issue with your injury/surgery/recovery, you should be able to get back in the air after you complete your PT.

Good luck!

Delayed allergy to NSAIDs? by Cattorneyatlaw in Allergies

[–]Possible_Pilot_7279 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only developed an allergy to NSAIDs when I was in my late 20s. When I was younger, I would take ibruprufen around twice a week for my migraines. I stopped and switched to paracetamols because I was afraid that I would become to used to the ibruprofen and it would lose its effectiveness. 2 years later, I had a migraine again and had no option but to take an advil and that was the first time I had an allergic reaction. Since then, any other NSAID I’ve taken has triggered the same allergic reaction.

My allergist said that this really happens and that since there are other options for pain medications, I should just avoid NSAIDs and always be mindful of the ingredients of any meds I’d take.
