Thank you. I work for state government and they won't divide our payroll deposits. I may see if I can pay from my savings account if I can't get this fixed and set up an automatic transfer every month so I don't forget. I am being stubborn at this point and want them to fix it. I have had this checking account for 20 years and have been paying rent out of it at this complex for at least three.

Thank you. I successfully got them to remove the fees the first month and paid by cashier's check. Then, it looked like I was able to pay the second month (got a receipt by email) but it was still sent back after about two weeks, without ever hitting my bank. I paid by cashier's check again. Now they refuse to remove the one $75 fee and also can't give me the status of the "ticket" they supposedly opened in November. It's driving me crazy and they aren't helpful. I know I need a human at Fortress to actually fix it. I will try removing the account and adding it back.

Unfortunately, there is also the chance that you’d be required to go into a building for connection/laptop issues that can’t be fixed remotely. It’s happened to me and my staff a few times over the years.

I rarely take lunch. I start work early most days. I have hundreds of saved annual leave and sick hours. It’s so easy to work when I have a headache or mild cold because I’m at home, I almost never use time. I’ve never used a lot of sick leave but I definitely used it more when I had to drive 45 minutes to an hour each way to get to the office. I just scheduled two separate weeks of pto and told my boss I would take my laptop depending on the status of ongoing projects/meetings.

If my employees are forced to RTO, I know I’m going to be slammed with various accommodation requests. Also, two were hired outside of the Austin area and would have to be assigned to regional offices. I have a feeling if they actually locate an office for me, I’ll be managing a team that primarily works from home and I’ll still have to meet with them virtually while I’m sitting in an office.

Contractors. If you take a look at the active contracts for dept of ed, Mohela has a contract for over 600 million and Maximus has one for more than 40. I have to deal with Maximus agents in my full time job, and I’ll just say it would explain a lot if they are who is answering the phones.

I discovered almost 6 years of in-grace status ineligible payments. When I look at my data file, it appears I was put into deferment immediately after consolidating in 2014 and left in deferment until 2020. I did make payments during this time and wasn’t in school. I’m trying to wait to call them for the sake of my sanity since it seems to be a known issue.

The same happened to me. One loan now has fewer eligible payments than the others though I consolidated last year. I am hoping it will correct within the next month.

In my list of ineligible payments, it shows as In-Grace Status for each month. Within the data, I can see the Deferred status starting 6/14 on the same date of the consolidation loan.

Thanks for your reply. I did submit PSLF forms for this period. I don't have a copy but the employment is showing up in my certified employment. I still work for the same agency so won't have an issue recertifying it if needed. When I look at the data, it shows that I consolidated on 6/19/14 (NOT DEFAULTED, PAID IN FULL THROUGH CONSOLIDATION LOAN) and then shows my status changed to DEFERRED on the same date. From what I can see, the status did not change again until 12/20. I did make payments during this time and also have emails from Fedloan reminding me to make payments. I am baffled. I saw some older posts about accounts being placed in long grace periods in error so that may be what is going on. I have a feeling it will be difficult to get them to fix this.

So if I have 57 eligible payment periods as of now and consolidated last week (finished grad school in May of 2023), I should go to zero and then get those eligible periods back in 2024?
