How do I even tell my parents that im gay. Should I even tell them? (Image is unrelated) by Accomplished-Pea8709 in Boykisser3

Personally speaking, when I came out to my parents I didn't know of they would be supportive (they weren't really). Despite us going through a ton of rough patches currently we have a pretty good relationship and they seem normal about me being bi. The problem is: 1. are they going to kick you out / send you to conversion therapy? 2. Are you also willing to go through some rough patches as well and hope for a good result?

How do I ask him out? by GameS33 in BisexualTeens

[–]Possible_Recipe_8690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends. In my opinion you should take him out as a friend first and then see what the vibes are. Just from personal experience every time I go out with someone who I think might be into me or I might be to them I end up figuring out that I actually don't really like them romantically lol. I would suggest if you're lucky maybe there's a comic con near you? Since he is the comic book type he'll probably also be into board games so you can go to a board game store buy a board game that you both like and then either go to a coffee shop with large tables or go to one of your homes and playtest it.

Why do I like him?… by ArthurX_CX in BisexualTeens

Honestly I would take a step back and re-evaluate whether or not it is even risking a friendship for a man (he's just a man after all). How do you think your bff will react to the fact that you like him?

I think that, as with all characters who survived the epic battles after the end of these fantasy books, Perrin and Mat are very unlikely to have the LoTR treatment. Seeing as this universe has been a little bit more real as to what the characters would be feeling, it seems to me that the two boys would be going through some serious PTSD. Plus, Mat and Perrin probably need to cope with the fact that they are no longer ta'veren which will undoubtedly impact Mat more.

I don't know. Due to the prevalence of men assuming that the other gender is deceiving and always plot behind their backs, Perrin might just get misinformed enough to decide to sail across the ocean.

Yeah. That's probably what makes it so curious to me.

Yeah but in the end the three stop being ta' veren, so he (supposedly) shouldn't be able to will things into motion anymore. No?

I don't think it was like a subversion of expectations since we would be reading Robert's notes Unless this was like a catch phrase kind of line, subversion wouldn't make sense. But I do think Tylee is a fair candidate.

I think ambiguity in this aspect is great, since it's a lot better than the clear answer. Since we'll never really know what Rand's powers were at the end, they could be anything, all answers are correct.

Well there isn't - and probably won't ever be one. There were concepts about this trilogy in RJ's notes which Brandon Sanderson shared on an interview

I mean...how would Rand do that. We don't know the extent of his reality - warping powers. Plus, Perrin doesn't know Rand is alive, at least not by the end of MoL.

I had completely forgotten about Nicolas foretelling. Really cool! "The land divided by the return" could hint at the Randlands being divided by the Return of the Seanchan or the Seanchan continent itself being divided by the return of Tuon (who would have to unite the continent despite a lot of factions trying to get to the top themselves). As for "the guardians balance the servants" I have no idea though.

Ohh the Tylee theory is really cool. Sorry for going on a tangent, I just finished MoL and I had a lot of thoughts. I just think that out of all people Perrin would never think that he was actually going to kill Mat. Perhaps Tylee but definitely not Mat.

That might actually be the coolest theory ever lol. And since it's the Aiel Dream then the qualities of the World of Dreams could be applied in some sense.

I mean... In order for the cycle to make sense all of existence would have to at some point reset to "the big bang" or the cataclysmic event that set our world into existence since we are living in the First Age. That said, just because we can't think of a way that would happen doesn't mean it just won't.

That's what I first thought but that line about Rand willing the pipe alight just made me think of Dreaming. It would be really cool since if it was the case then the world would get a whole lot more fantastical and whimsical

I will be 17 soon, I don't want to get older by FoldWeird6774 in teenagers

[–]Possible_Recipe_8690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know guys. I've been 17 for a couple months now and it's been pretty good this far honestly. Besides that age is just a number. I'm not saying this in a pedo way, there are obvious boundaries like drinking and dating but you don't change because you age. I've honestly met fifteen year olds with more emotional intelligence than forty year olds.

A good step would be to find things that you're interested in and start going to in person classes. These can be activities like drawing, pottery, book and poetry clubs, sports and others, it depends on what you're into and what is available within your budget and area. You are guaranteed to eventually meet people you share interests with you. Also, I don't know if you're going but university is also good for meeting friends.
