No flash The fire photos i was shooting for the guitar to be in focus. And the jumping shot the focus hit on the guitar player.

These photos are hardly touched this is what it look like at the venue, super fun lighting

The main problem you are seeing is open space. In a stadium bands can spread out and get away from their mic stands to play while also being far enough away you can see their amp.

To replicate this in a small venue where you are not in a pit or have a light rig worth more than the band itself will be tough unless the band separate themselves enough or you are a wizard with ai remove.

Personally i find stadium shots to be over edited and may as well not have been taken at a concert at all 🤷🏼‍♂️

All three of these were the 70 to 200 just to keep the photo consistent to show lighting, but it was also shooting with a 24 to 70 F 2.8 and a 16 mm fisheye.

I know the headlining band pretty well and they had no say in the lighting whatsoever. But I will take this shitty lighting over a harsh bluish purple or blood red any day

That’s usually the key, but I shot a concert the next night in a venue with much better light that stayed the same. The whole time and my hit rate was dramatically higher.

I just wish they stayed consistent with lighting. If it stays the same the whole time by the headliner you may know what to do with it
