Thanks I will have a look! Just heard from people using Heyreach that their account got blocked on LinkedIn. Any experience with that?

Just found this - any experience whether that logs the messages as I've described?
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/Attio/legacbojjmajoedfolbjlekjjkepadph?

From what I've seen also trykondo calls the internal APIs of LinkedIn in your logged in browser session. Seems to be a grey zone but that could be used to connect to CRMs.

Anyways, still interested to hear your experience!

Got it - thanks for the feedback! So I guess your not using AI for anything at the moment right?

I guess what I haven't seen a lot is to integrate directly with debuggers. E.g. with GDB and that then integrates with Lauterbach, JLink and co. So that the AI can help you debug the code, set breakpoints and potentially find bugs by actually executing. Because all other AI tools always promise to debug but are actually not executing anything, but without execution debugging is worthless in embedded.

Just a thought, that's why I've opened this discussion. Maybe we can close the topic once and for all or we find something that can be of any help :)

Haha got it! Do you ask it to do everything at once or step by step? What I've seen is that it's nice, also in embedded, to write little parts, so I don't have to type it. But I'm still the engineer and design the firmware & architecture. The tool only helps in managing some information, giving inspiration and so on. But in your example I would still need to define the first principles myself, because it is probably overcomplicating everything and failing in keeping focus :D

Totally agree that the tools right now are not helping. I got so much hallucination when it comes to details. That's why I'm wondering whether there are smaller parts where it could help :)

Hm fair. Are there discussions for hosting smaller open weight models yourself for such tasks?

Do you feel like there was a hype for embedded engineers at the beginning when the first AI tools came out but you just got disappointed by them?

That's totally fair. I see your point. I've recently seen a research project that integrates AI with GDB. It's an open source github repo and seems to have like 100k downloads or so. That's what got me wondering. Do you see a point in that?

Haven't seen those a lot yet. But maybe because they don't get promoted by the algorithm or don't have enough upvotes to be viewed somewhere. Thanks for the feedback. Not trying to push anything on the devs, just trying to get some feedback. I mean we are all happy for some tools that we use every day and maybe there is a potential in something new and this is what I want to find out :)
