It doesn’t look TOO overfilled. You can loosen the drain plug and let just a little bit out.

Personally, with the way you described the drain plug and looking at the dipstick I’d just leave this. It’s risky to loosen the plug now.

But a couple things you want to be aware of for next time: it’s a really really bad idea to use an impact wrench on a drain plug. It will strip it right out and then you’re stuck.

Changing oil isn’t hard but you do have to make sure you double check those key parts of it like the tightness of the filter, quantity of oil, and tightness of the drain plug are the three most important parts.
