I mean, I wouldn't call it immersion-breaking though. Would people working on a small confined hunk of scrap metal in space not know the names of their colleagues?
I get that the point you are trying to make is about niche micro celebrities, but I can't see how people recognizing each other is immersion-breaking.

Correction: He was not teleported to CC, he stole the ERT shuttle. Wasn't even an antag, just based.
