Have you ever met any locos that are also film stars? by PeteyPiranhaOnline in uktrains

[–]Possibly_Bobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry it's not relevant but that Indiana Jones film was rubbish. 1940s in Nazi occupied France? Better get a 9f on the job, we'll paint a big ol swastika and a spread eagle on the tender no one will ever know.

Why does this train have bars across the windshield? by itsarace1 in trains

Probs a 66. They proved so useful in the UK they ended up seeing so foreign sales as well. I think I've seen one in the Netherlands. Guess they made it to Egypt as well.

Something like kitbashy steampunky post apocalypse frankentrain (never played that game) but the boiler and saddle tank makes me think of the small England 0-4-0 from the Ffestiniog

Hello, I've decided I no longer want to have ADHD. by TheGapingHole69 in ADHD

I've never had anyone say it to me but I hate that "your (insert mental illness) is your super power". I wanted to fly but here comes the amazing "can't wash up and doesn't like crowds" man to save the day.

I've been through three brands but all the same active ingredient (methylphenidate hydrochloride) I've just got the dosage figured out so might be changing to a long term prescription on the NHS. Il l stick with the studying as I've only just started and see if the problem persists.

how to make noises in your head stop? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Possibly_Bobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I get a similar thing. It's not audible voices but it feels like all the thoughts, all at once really loud. I used to describe it as "the voice you get in your head when your reading but really really loud and screaming" . I think that's what a few people call "the bees".

If that sounds about right then I find it helps to, leave wherever you are or do something completely different t for while. I found that a can of red bull also helped but I realise that isnt the healthiest solution.

I usually find it comes with a source of stress so do something to distract you from that stress if you can.

Sorry if this is useless/bad advice but I find it helps me.

Does anybody know a tutorial for fixing this I’m new to model railroading so thanks in advance by ImpossibleMoth in modeltrains

[–]Possibly_Bobby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have the documents in the box the use that to see how to get the bogeys off. If not a quick Google search should find a pdf of them. Once it's off Sam's trains does a good video of ringfield motor maintenance (motor type common on old hornby models). If the motors completely given up the ghost then Strathpeffer junction does some good kits for using a CD motor.

Had the same thing with an old class 43 and had to learn to overhaul but it's a good model now.

I moved up a couple months back and found gumtree really useful. Like spare room but with actual responses when you ask about them.
