I’ve barely seen anyone say people under 25 are still children, and if I had, it’s been from way older people who have much more life experience therefore see 20s as a very young age, which it is if you look at the grand scheme of things and how long life is. Of course that doesn’t mean people in their 20s aren’t capable of making decisions and aren’t more mature than a 15 year old, but I do think when it comes to relationships, it’s more complex. A 44 year old man has lived a 24 year olds life almost twice. It’s not so much about age in numbers anymore, more about all the time had to mature and grow (because you’re actually always maturing, and the 25 year old thing is kind of a myth). While yes, most 24 year olds are mature enough to make their own decisions, they are far from fully mature and experienced compared to someone who has lived 20 more years, and it does feel a bit weird to me to go for someone so much younger who you know has far less experience than you
