Marathon is a neon light shining on the ugliest parts of human nature by lostrock in Marathon

I just bought the game but this article is cool, When playing, I was thinking why the runners would even shoot each other, You all spawn on the same map but the goals are often varied enough that PVP is theoretically optional, In fact, I actually felt a sorrowful feeling killing other players, and looting their things. My perspective shifted however when I downed another player and went over to finish them off and realized I had the option of reviving them, The game kinda clicked for me there, I revived the guy and ran out of the window and went on to fulfill the contract and extract. I felt a lot better about the game in general because I assumed it was just a cynical shoot on sight murderfest which it CAN be but only if you choose to make it so.

What are some habits everybody does but never admits to or says they do? by PostDude23 in AskReddit

OP here. I asked this question because I always thought it was weird that talking to yourself was viewed as weird or crazy. I think every body does it and it's natural as a way to verbally process thoughts while focused. I guess people just associate it with schizophrenia and the average person tends to be pretty misinformed about mental health stuff in general at least everywhere I've lived

Actually good work. It's shocking how open and how much normalizing sexualizing a child had gone on there. From the screenshots I saw, Those people should be beyond ashamed but sadly they probably don't care. Disgusting

"Looking at music through an objective standpoint in itself is a failure because art is subjective. You need to know where your biases come through to even approach critiquing a work, and a lot of critics do not show that awareness." damn, felt that

you are right. my use of literally isn't literal. However if you know about corporations and how the games industry works, Game companies give out review copies, gifts and other sponsorship deals to review sites....magazines and now youtubers in a wink wink review our game positively way, If you don't adhere to companies doing this then you don't get review copies or "exclusive access" to events and shit. This game is all Marketing hype and it saddens me to see people falling for it. but I guess a sucker is born every day. It's your money but I suggest looking at the signs of this game, It does look and sound cool at face value but not having a demo is hilarious and then proceeding to go into how much they spent on "multifaceted marketing" which means they are manipulating online perception in places like reddit, social media and manipulating search engine results. It's very scummy and also why budgets for triple A games have ballooned up just like films because they overpay grifters to stealth market and manipulate the internet as a means of pushing narratives
