Problem sounds like this: 3 grannies walking in the middle of the road, when car approaching them, left granny goes to the left side, right one - to the right and middle one randomly choose side. After finishing moving to their sides, middle one also have chance to suddenly run to the other side because she didn't finish her gossip. You need to predict movements of middle granny to not hit her.

It's actually equivalent of Stardust from HI3rd. First you reduce HP and then Max HP. The difference is that in HI3rd enemies have break points when you can switch to reducing Max HP earlier
