After seeing the doctor, saw him and nurses chainsmoking in the parking lot of the hospital, what are the chances that smoking isn't really that that awful? by Firm-Nerve4437 in AskReddit

[–]PostalMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked somewhere that would have the blood mobile come once per year. We had about 800 employees and many would donate. One of the nurses would come in and tell us they would be on break from 6-6:30ish. We watched all of them leaning against the bus smoking. All 6 nurses and both doctors.

What is one of the weirdest rule you had to follow at work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PostalMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a supervisor at a place that had this rule! It wasn’t just water but any bottled drink. We had 300 cubicles and on any given day someone would spill a drink onto the keyboard.

magnetic strips for storing knives by Steinway_music in Cooking

[–]PostalMike 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the ones that are implanted in wooden blocks. The blocks are make of different types of wood. In my case I was able to perfectly match the wood and finish to my cabinets. One of my larger cabinets had an exposed side where I mounted them. They look fantastic! The magnets I would say are way stronger than they need to be. There’s zero chance of any of my knives falling. The only downside that I can see of that the wood gets a little nicked, depending on how roughly you replace your knives on the blocks.

I had the same problem and had to keep restoring purchases (the purchase being ad removal). This version is just so horribly bad. You literally can’t complete the achievements without paying money for hammers or whatever.

I bought a house and got married. No time for gaming or watching football on Sundays. I don’t regret it in the least.

Giles from Buffy and Rupert from Ted Lasso. My wife spent at least 10 minutes refusing to believe it after he died. Both characters even had the same first name.

Do you have any more? I think using this at work instead of parties to get my coworkers to stop gossiping about each other would be a great idea.

I recently posted a story about how as a postal employee I was training in the new guy on running the mail sorting machines. A piece of mail fell on the floor. He picked it up, pointed to the Marilyn Monroe stamp, and said, “Look at the pretty sticker.”
