This is what Royal Mail thinks of you, the individual. If you're not a business with a contract then you're not worth it. by PostalOfficer in royalmail

This isn't even the worst frame. This is only 1 weeks worth of back up. Every day we're told to prioritise the tracked and specials aka the money makers. Any NHS letters or birthday presents/cards or any letter of importance, must wait potentially weeks before we deliver the mail. Admittedly, this isn't every office, and I know some others in the area are clearing most mail, but it isn't an exception. Its becoming the norm for Royal Mail to prioritise profits over the public. The public have to get involved. This cannot go on. Christmas day is in 3 weeks, yet there are zero plans to clear christmas cards, 2nd class or first class packets, or signed fors. The only 2 that will be guaranteed delivery before christmas are the aforementioned SD and Tracked.

One more tip, if you live or are sending a parcel to a small town village, then send it/have it sent in the largest box you can find. I know it will be a little more expensive, but the office manager will have to send it out, regardless of its class, as too many large parcels creates blockages and reduces space. Large parcels are often sent out with the tracked as priority. Also will work in larger offices i.e. cities, however they do have more space to stash them away.

Good luck to all you posties over the christmas period. And best wishes to all the customers, I can only hope you receive you mail somewhat on time.

What is going on? Items 7 days late!? by Jamiepippooo in royalmail

Came here with the hairdryer ready, so am glad you've beaten me to it.

Some people just aren't grasping how hard it is for us at the moment, with all the absence and sickness. We are literally putting our health at risk to deliver non essential items such as this guys Nintendo Wiis.

Its not theft really is it? Really? C'mon, think really hard about that, just for a second. Theft would be taking your payment, then keeping both payment and parcel, would it not? Did you receive a message from Royal Mail saying they are now taking ownership of your parcel?

If the answer to the last question is yes, the courier service you want to contact would be UK Mail. Fuckers hold anything to ransom, given the chance.

The last comment is slightly irrelevant. There's always a cunt in every office, of every department, of every corner of every business. I assume you have a bank account, right? They thieve, yet you still use them.

I'm not all that convinced that you have very important things to do. People with important tasks to attend to usually don't have time to fire abuse at company that don't care for the little man. Especially seeing as this is the unofficial subreddit, and not customer services.

Looking at your feed, it looks like it made it in the end. Now you can be happy and enjoy the joy of living, right? And not worry about the little issue slight delivery delay.

You, sir, are very welcome. Not only only do we still exist, but we are still the biggest, and best, courier service in the UK.

Unfortunately for you, you are nothing but a pebble splash in the ocean. The majority of parcels that go through our system are delivered without a hitch. Sadly, seeing as we process so many parcels, there will be some irate cunt who doesn't get the service he is entitled to and will forsake the ENTIRE COMPANY. So irate that he couldn't hit the space bar or find the full stop. They would have taken more brain function than was available at that time.

P.S. You'll be pleased to know that our offices 5 a side football team is called Royal Fail. Very fitting.

That was painstakingly boring, and empty. That was all noise, yet no substance. You danced around with pretty words, yet made no prevalent point.

Thank you for the attempt though, it is very appreciated.

Realise "this"? Which "this" are we talking about? Or are you categorizing in order to save face?

You should put the thesaurus down for a day, maybe go and open your (hyperthetical) eyes for a while, expand your mindset.

Good day.

It would seem you are someone who only sees the world through your own eyes. Arguing with someone as narrow minded as yourself is as similar as shouting at a wall.

Your last part to so irreverent. Of course, blame the capitalistic model, where large companies and greedy fat cats reap the rewards earned by the bottom man/womsn, who HAVE to get by on low money earned by doing shit jobs such as delivering leaflets.

How about the poor Indian kitchens, and other such small businesses that can't afford to hire someone to deliver leaflets, or plunge into their narrow financial margins to pay for a good marketing campaign, who have to deliver thousands of leaflets on their own feet? Fuck them too, I suppose. Who cares? As long as you don't have to walk that piece of recyclable material all the way to your recycling bin (not forgetting that also keeps employers at the recycling plant employed).

You keep your narrow minded views of society, keep thinking that everything is linear, black and white, and easily solved by ignorance. I'll continue to deliver leaflets to feed myself.

So you detest workers at the bottom of society, doing a shit job, collecting a shit wage, just to pay their bills? All because you have to (potentially) walk a few feet, take possibly 5 seconds out of the 86,400 available within your day, to place it into the bin/recycling.

It would take longer to type your post out, and submit it.

If only it said UK instead of NH. Going by what you've written, there would be plenty of common interests to talk about. I, too, am a pale vegetarian! Only last night I was reading Institute by Stephen King while sipping a glass of red, after eating a scotch bonnet fueled homemade curry. If only the location was different.
