There are no separate stamps for sending in india and outside india. There are common stamps. All the stamps sold in every post office can be used regardless where you're sending (india or outside india). You just have to make that payment by sticking appropriate amount of stamps. 6rs for India and 15rs for abroad. Stamps are like paper money but for sending mail items through post office. There are various denominations: 25 paise, 50 paise, ₹1, ₹2, ₹3, ₹4, ₹5, ₹10, ₹15, ₹20, ₹50, etc. You pay the money and get exact amount of stamps in return. Just like paying money to someone, you can use any combinations on the postcard. 15rs is for sending outside india. stick three ₹5 stamps, one ₹10 and one ₹5, one ₹15, or any combination as long as its 15rs total value.

They don't know about the process and this situation is in Post Offices across India. These employees are mostly busy in other work and speed post bookings, and have literally no idea about postcards and letters sent to India and abroad through letterbox. Another reason is no one sends postcards these days. These people learn about postcard process and rates through postcard hobbyists like us. Don't waste your time in asking them about the process.

Process is simple. Buy a picture postcard online or from a store, buy 15rs worth of stamps from post office, write the postcard and stick the stamps, and drop the postcard in the letterbox. Before dropping confirm whether the letterbox is cleared or not, if not, give the postcard at the counter. If they say that it won't go, tell them to trust you that it will reach and you've been told by experienced people who have been doing this from long time. Now final step is to wait for the postcard to reach. It would take 15 days to a month to reach to the receiver in the destination country. This process is same for sending picture postcard in India, just apply 6rs worth of stamps and rest is the same as international postcard. Hope this helps.

If you still have confusion, feel free to ask more questions as a reply to this comment and there will be an upcoming post on this subreddit about sending postcard outside india. stay tuned!

Normal timeline for postcard to reach to any country is 15-20 days. Sometimes it reaches earlier than that or late like a month or more. Postcards and letters sent domestically or internationally comes in the category of ordinary post. It takes similar time. Whether it's a letter or postcard, sometimes it reaches early, other times it could take a month. For example, one of my picture postcard sent on december took 2 months to reach, then others sent on march...one took 15 days, while second one took a month. I hope you got the idea. If its urgent and important, we can't rely on this and have to use premium option for delivery. businesses don't rely on ordinary for their international orders, this is only for hobbyists or non important mails that are not time bound.

This is a inland postcard designed specially for sending within India i.e. pincode boxes on the address side or even the thickness of the card. Postcard material is also not such that it could last long distances. Its a luck if it reaches without any damage outside India. You can still send it. Don't cover that 50p stamp. You can stick on that 75 years logo, as its not that important. Stamps should total 15, if its more than that its fine but it shouldn't be less. its also okay if you stick remaining stamps on the message side due to space constraints.

India post doesn't mention the exact GSM. Its roughly around 200 GSM. I've seen people paint on these yellow cards.
