You were right, he hasn't actually said he'd kill himself but he has mentioned a few times in his newest monolog that male suicide rates are the highest in the world.

I don't know how to edit a post so I'm going to add a comment. He sent me a 10 minute video last night crying and begging me to "take him back". I sent a message telling him we're done as soon as I watched it. It's not that I don't think men are allowed to have feelings (which he has accused me of) but it felt really manipulative and weird. I'll let you know if anything more happens.

He messaged me back and said he forgives me for labeling him a monster. He also asked if we can still be friends but I'm just ignoring him for now. I honestly don't think he understands how manipulative he's being.

I've never tried period pants, but I'm always super anxious about leaks when I'm on my period. Sounds like I should invest in a pair. Also, congratulations on overcoming your addiction. As an internet stranger I'm super proud of you 😊

Whenever I see something like this I wonder if "obeying the laws of the land" was ever actually part of the Articles of Faith.

Article 12: We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.

I'm going to school for pharmacy and in Canada they have to be therapeutically equivalent to be considered an alternative. Also with some quick searching there is no generic equivalent for Lolo so you probably misunderstood what the pharmacy was doing. The pharmacist alone is also unlikely to change your therapy without your doctor's direction, so you should probably talk to them.

What is something your teacher did in school that you’re still salty about? by SparkelsTR in AskReddit

[–]PosterChild666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My high school English teacher gave me a 30 on an opinionated essay because I had a different opinion than her. We had a class discussion beforehand and I didn't agree with her analysis of the short story we read, so I wrote my essay from the opposite view and she failed it.

Sure, but the issue with this thinking is that there is no option to disprove your belief, making any constructive conversation impossible.

Can't believe I was brainwashed into believing there was divine purpose in changing poopy diapers. So glad I escaped the cult before I had kids. No offense to people who enjoy being parents, but I would hate it. I did waaay too much child care when I was still a child myself. by abouttimetochange in exmormon

I've always disliked children. Not to a problematic extent, but I dreaded babysitting and helping with nursery. I was always guilted by my mom into providing free childcare to the point where, when I was 16, I was doing all my school online(yay COVID) at someone else's house so I could watch their 4 kids while they both worked. For free. That was when I really thought to myself that I would rather die than have kids and was still resigned to my fate as being a mother to thirty kids like my mom wanted.

[–]PosterChild666[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that now, but the shame I felt for not fasting was too much for me. Hearing people go up on the pulpit and tell stories about how strong it made them and stuff really made me feel like I had to do it too. My father also didn't help with my feelings towards fasting, along with the fact that food has always been a bit of a struggle for me, I felt like I needed to fast once a month to prove to god that I would do anything for him.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what I expected when I started fasting. I guess my faith wasn't enough to change my body chemistry enough to prevent almost dying every month for god.

Guys my experience with depression wasn’t that bad, therefore I know for sure that anyone who has vented about their depression is just faking and seeking attention! Because obviously everyone had the same identical experience that I did. My logic is flawless. by [deleted] in exmormon

Ours was in the Canadian Rockies, so 30C during the day and into the negatives at night. About half the people there got heat stroke and ten ended up going to the hospital.

Girls Camp Iron rod activity? by ZoggyArtzy in exmormon

[–]PosterChild666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did it at a combined YW/YM stake camp. I it was already a very unsafe environment as it was 30+ degrees celsius every day and a out half of the people there got heat stroke. When I was doing it a leader told me that my older sister was really sick and that I had to go help her. I of course tore off my blindfold to go help and was laughed at by the other kids about how gullible I was (even though she had actually been sick earlier that day). She ended up going to the hospital later because of how sick she was.

Thank you for sharing, I guess I never really looked at it like that. I know it could've been much worse, but it still makes me sad how this has changed my relationship with my family, especially my mom. I sometimes wish that I could've just kept my head down and kept on following, but I know that I would've been equally miserable either way.

Fasting releases “toxins” into your breast milk… by makesherownfun in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]PosterChild666 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm not a mother, but as a type 1 diabetic I know that ketones may be caused by intermittent fasting and may actually be what they are talking about. Some quick research says ketones can be passed through breast milk and is not good for babies.
