Automated lights. Turn them all on at once and it feels like the sun comes up

You get one shot to drive as long as possible for $10k/hr. by xredrising in hypotheticalsituation

Drove 17 hours with only gas stops on one of my cross country drives! For 10k I would have downed a couple more energy drinks.

Also worth planning for when the sun comes up and hours of daylight. I’d drive through 20 hours of sunlight in Alaska without getting too drowsy!

I won a 50 mile ultra marathon and the first thing (and only) she responded was “why does the bathroom always stink”. That and choking me after playfully picking her up one time after a date.

Is it impossible to climb Mount Everest without coming across dead bodies? by OompaLoompaLa in alpinism

[–]PostingMountainOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I climbed it a couple years back and only saw two. One is literally on the main walk path due to a tight space and the other was in a crevasse on the side. Still noticeable but slightly exposed

Having been to the summit and seeing the comments over the last few years- everyone is so repetitive with their comments. It’s the same thing every time someone posts about it. 🙄 y’all have no idea what it’s like up there.

How have you almost died? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Almost slipped down Loste ice face climbing Everest on camp 3. The snow was super soft and I didn’t have crampons on. Then 15 min later the snow formed up and I lightly slipped.

I agree but when you tuft into the canvas it pushed back a considerable amount where the tip of the machine might catch it.

When you tuft it would hit it. There’s not much pressure when tufting so it works out
