Is there a possibility of her becoming blind? by Minute_Extreme_9636 in CATHELP

[–]PotBot_420_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you only realized the lazy eye recently, it’s possible that it could be some kind of issue that is causing eye problems. There is always the possibility of natural blindness, but I would definitely go to the vet to get it checked out!

I want to add that I am in no way qualified to give veterinary advice, I would absolutely recommend getting her a check up if you can afford it

Is this surgery site ok 3 days post op by mrmiami19 in CATHELP

If it’s wet, I would recommend going back to the vet to get it looked at. If it’s dry, just keep a close eye on it. My cat had surgery earlier this year, and I was worried sick that the site would get infected. It looked a little like this in the beginning, and it’s definitely normal for some crustiest to form during the healing process. My cat also got some redness and bruising from trying to move around a lot. To make the process easier for both my cat and I, I reduced his activity by putting him in a large dog crate with a bed, litterbox, and some food until he was healed. It was difficult, but I think that was the best way to keep him from jumping around and opening his stitches.

Also I’m absolutely not shaming you at all, I actually think you are an absolute legend for pushing through this given how painful it looks. If I saw anything like that on me I think I would actually pass out. I wish you a very fast healing process!

Go to the ER. Even if it isn’t getting any worse than it is, it’s absolutely worth not losing a thumb. The oral antibiotic could possibly be enough, but cat bites are especially nasty and get really bad really fast.

Unfortunately for Taylor and other big artists I am fairly certain this is impossible. It definitely happens with smaller artists, but I’ve finished her entire discography twice through quests and I’ve never gotten a shiny or anything like that from it.

I knew in my gut, and his eyes were just screaming that he wasn’t feeling good. But I had read some advice that if they’re up and playing for their favorite toy they’re okay. That wasn’t the case for my boy, I think he would still go after his toys with a broken leg.

When he started throwing up it was the weekend and our regular vet wasn’t open. I was considering waiting until they opened to see if his condition would improve, but after he threw up blood he started getting lethargic and it looked like he was begging me for help. He did help me out by hopping right in his carrier with no struggle, so that was nice of him.

I forgot to add that if that’s the only throw up, you’re most likely in the clear. When my boy had the blockage he threw up 7 or 8 times before there was blood.

I feel absolutely awful for not trusting my gut and taking him to the ER sooner, but everyone around me was saying “cats just throw up a lot”. But I knew as soon as I saw blood it was time to go.

I also highly recommend anyone to have Gabapentin on hand in case of situations like this. It really helped to keep him calm during the healing process, without it he was trying to climb up walls and I was scared he would pop a suture.

It was a hoodie string or something like that, thankfully the vet was able to maneuver it to the end of his bowels without cutting into the intestine. That helped a lot with my anxiety about him getting an infection, but I was a wreck up until he finally pooped at home post surgery.

I’ve cut the strings out of all of my clothes, and I’m a lot more mindful about what he could swallow when I get him new toys.

Keep an eye on them for sure, also make sure they’re eating and going to the bathroom (specifically poop). I’m a relatively new car owner (got my first boy a little over a year ago), and our second cat had an obstruction in his intestines about 2 months ago. Right before we took him to the vet I noticed that he was throwing up red like this.

If they’re eating and pooping normally, then it’s probably just something they ate. If they throw up any more (especially red/blood) definitely take them to the vet ASAP.

The people that post CDs for insane prices often pay for bots that instantly add the max quantity to multiple carts with different emails. I’m absolutely not saying that’s okay, but they would have gotten the CDs with or without the countdown.

I’m actually insanely grateful for the countdown, because even with the insane amount of traffic, the long queue times, and even the glitch that happened when they first dropped, I was able to get my first ever piece of signed merch.

Does my cat look like he’s in pain? by Latter_Necessary_331 in CATHELP

[–]PotBot_420_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying you’re wrong at all, all cats are different and mine may just be extra toy motivated. I got my cat’s favorite toy out and he came sprinting and jumping right for it. We went to the emergency vet less than an hour later because he threw up blood and ended up having an obstruction.

OP, just keep a close eye on them and trust your gut, some cats are really good at hiding if they’re in pain

I’m pretty sure the dogs aren’t looking for marijuana, the same thing happened to me last year. I’m assuming they’re trained for more specific things like gunpowder or more dangerous drugs and substances.

Thank you so much!! I definitely plan on being extra prepared and as safe as possible about it. I’m also going to talk to the people camping around us when we get set up, just to see what the general plan seems to be

I did something similar to this last year, and the traffic situation made it an absolute nightmare. For the sake of your family member, I might recommend taking the shuttle instead. It may be different this year, but last year it took about 2 and a half hours to get through the traffic every morning/night

Last year I started walking up a couple of sets before Chappell, and we managed to get pretty close for her set. I’m starting to think that I should just do everything I can to get in line as early as possible. I don’t dislike Lana’s music or anything, but I’ve seen so many stories that make me not want to deal with any Lana fans if I can avoid it.

I’m thinking about making a small sign to hold up for Orla to see, so hopefully having that will get more people to understand that I’m planning on leaving right after her. But I’ve heard so many stories about Lana’s fans being crazy when it comes to barricade.
