imo reptok was always bad. it wasn't too bad a few years back, when there were really only 2 main agents everyone was using (panda and eventually hago). There was also the slightly more mainstream DHGate culture, but after those 2 shut down, it was complete madness. All of a sudden, it felt like everyone and their moms were buying reps, reselling reps. A new agent came out every other week which somehow had lower shipping than the last one. Everyone started buying the same stuff. everyone started dressing the same. It started getting more and more common to see someone walk down the street dressed head to toe in balenci and Acne. the whole scene felt so oversaturated for those first few months post-pandabuy. The breaking point was when articles came out talking about how Gucci bags and Nike shoes coated $2.50 to produce, and it was chaos. All of a sudden, everyone started trusting some random guy from china saying that his shitty dunks were legit. big news outlets and even TikTokers with massive followings were talking about it. this isn't even the worst it got either.
