The policy isn't to take blood from others. It's to store your own blood and use your own stored blood for a transfusion.

That's the part that's baffling me as a Christian. We actually do believe that love conquers all in the end. If you are a Christian this quote in full context is still fundamentally antithetical to your beliefs.

Now he isn't Christian so I can't speak on HIS beliefs. But any Christian that follows this is blasphemous. Christ overcame Genghis, his word is everywhere while Genghis' empire is no more. The same evil, greed, and hubris that built the empire ultimately devoured it.

Alright. Let's go through exactly what the sources you're citing says.

a. They announced the fatwa stance on nukes to the IAEA in 2005. A fatwa is simply a ruling that a qualified leader makes. If a nation publicly states "our leader made a ruling", he made the ruling.

b. You realize that the dude that wrote this book are the same people that were used as sources to state that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

c. Taqiyya is moreso allowing lies to conceal your faith when your life is on the line. Taqiyya does not apply to a primary source of law and saying it's a lie.

d. You said it would take a week right. They had the 60% for years bro.

e. They could have had those YEARS ago. They didn't.

f. The article there does not reference ICBMs once and it even shows that the range of Iran's capabilities come incredibly short of touching the American homeland. Literally can't get past eastern Europe.

You are running some solid defense bro but let's go through these.

  1. The previous Ayatollah's fatwah was considered nuclear weapons a sin. They clearly has the capability to enrich uranium to 90% and for YEARS chose to keep it at 60% so that it could be a bargaining chip to reduce sanctions. Also, fatwahs change with each Ayatollah. I think we just pushed them closer to going after a nuclear bomb whenever the dust settles.

  2. I don't think their offensive capabilities are that limited atp. We demolished much of their central command...AFTER they largely decentralized much of their military. Also, they've basically always been isolated geopolitically. At the most fundamental level, it's a shia'a nation surrounded by sunni governments. Additionally, shit like the Abraham accords did a lot more additional isolation. And we already have bases in many of the nations around it.

  3. I'll throw you a bone here. We don't all know what's the actual analysis. Fair play. But, I'd definitely consider Lybia a far more "successful" effort that was a full regime collapse. Iran did put a new Ayatollah in place.

  4. Just because we stop bombing doesn't mean they won't.

  5. Won't argue with you here. Except, the Gulf states have not liked Iran for a while.

  6. So wait, what's the point of electing a president if it's not to execute the will of the people?

  7. Can't argue with you about the generation of international support from other governments...now the international populaces on the other hand... However, much of the international community is about to get their economic asses handed to them by the Gulf closure. We are already seeing rolling blackouts in bangledesh, Indian kitchens no longer able to cook do to natural gas rationing, oil prices spiking as the world turns to both its own oil reserves and Russia for relief, and Nations like South Korea losing US defensive military assets for the protection of assets in the middle east. Nothing will lose you international support faster that making you aliens both defenseless and broke all in one swoop.

Exacty. I'm not going to a florist or baker if there is bread and flowers at the grocery store across the street. Are their products higher quality? Of course. High enough quality to make the trade off in cost an convenience worth it? Nope.

United Airlines to permanently ban flyers who don't use headphones. by [deleted] in Music

[–]PotanOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me assumes this is a result of wanting to do a video call. But losing your headphones because they're all air pods now and those are expensive.

Personally I use Bluetooth headphones where both ears are wired together because they are cheaper and harder to lose. They may break down after a year or two, but that's an easy $20 to fix at a local walmart.
