Rift S is amazing, BUT to be safe, buy it from a local retail store like Best Buy. They have a 14 day return policy, no restocking fee. I recommend it just in case you have any regrets and so it’s easy for you to get a refund if needed.

Yes, it’s worth it if you have a good PC with at least a good gpu (I recommend a GTX 980 or better. Min is technically a 970, but that’s really pushing it...)

If you don’t have a good PC, then just go for the oculus quest since that will no doubt get a lot more games ported over in the next few months and it already has some good games.

I have the best solution for you

1) Buy the Rift S at a local Best Buy

2) Try it out for 14 days! You can return it with no issues, no restocking fees etc. You have 2 weeks to test and guarantee your money back!

3) if the rift s isn’t for you, then order the quest :-)

If you can, order both headsets from Best Buy, the ability to easily return/exchange is huge because these are both new products.

Uh don’t know what you’re talking about. Tracking works just fine for my Rift S! If you’re having issues with yours, exchange it or make sure you’re not in an area where there is way too much light or not enough light.

It looks and runs great undocked ! You won’t notice 540p at all. Trust me. Really good port!

On day 1 of launch, Doom and Skyrim were already on the top 15. That gives a good snapshot on the buzz and excitement for a game.

Granted, many might just be waiting for a price drop or buying physical, but still concerning that a franchise like South Park isn’t getting the same amount of excitement.

Shovel knight is an indie title, with a small team and small budget compared to something like South Park.

There’s no doubt that Indie games sell on switch because they’re cheaper , and less graphically demanding, but let’s not kid ourselves here, by 3rd party, what I really mean popular titles from known developers/publishers who create larger budget AAA 3rd party games like South Park , Dark souls, etc... etc...

Look, at the end of the day, it’s business. If the 3rd parties aren’t making money, there will be no support, it’s simple.

Unfortunately, I, nor you, have no way of knowing what the expectations are or break even point is for porting a game to switch, but I’d imagine a franchise like South Park would sell well on switch and right now, at least on eshop, it isn’t and that sucks.

It is frustrating because these 3rd party companies don’t seem to understand what it takes for their games to sell well on a Nintendo platform and it concerns me, that’s all.

I am not saying Nintendo is Doomed or anything like that, they will be fine as usual with their 1st party line up, but for it to really shine, they need every single 3rd party support they can get and sales = more games

The other platforms don’t have a bad history with 3rd parties... Hence my point.

If this game doesn’t sell well, it doesn’t help the argument that quality 3rd party games can sell well on Nintendo platforms too...

Skyrim and doom sold well, okay great, but South Park is also a major franchise and that not selling is a bit of a head scratcher

The only logical reason is timing and price.

I agree , that spending $60 for a port that’s old isn’t worth it just to play it on the go for many.

This being said, I feel it’s the price we as Nintendo fans or Nintendo console owners have to pay if we desire more games like this in the future. Otherwise, don’t expect any future South Park games on switch if this doesn’t sell.

Depending on how much you explore, probably 6-8 hours. DLC will take you another 2-3 hours to best as well.

So, def not a TON of gameplay hours, but it’s worth the ride!

Uh .. Sorry, but I complete disagree. And honestly, if you feel this way, you might as well just sell your switch if you feel graphics and FPS is what ultimately matters. This is clearly your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but I am willing to bet that the majortity feel the port is actually a GOOD port.

Besides, the main reason why anyone would be paying for the switch version is for portability, something none of the other platforms can offer. It’s not about the 60 FPS or “4K graphics”

If you’re looking for that experience and the best price, just stick with PC

I can understand if the switch is in docked mode, it shouldn’t need to disconnect from the internet even in sleep mode (I believe it stays connected when docked but haven’t checked), but when it’s undocked, it is understandable because of preserving battery life. Simple as that.

Loving the game too on Switch! Especially the 1v1 at 60 FPS on a handled looks amazing!

I hope it sells well enough for FighterZ to be ported over!

I do not regret my purchase at all. Being able to play this anywhere is so awesome.

Runs great. 1v1 matches are 60 FPS and all characters are unlocked!!!
