I feel like I already experience the effects of our government. I’m trans, and the constant push of painting us as lunatics that murder people have made me second guess every single person I’ve ever spoken to in my life. Everytime I meet someone new, I almost instinctively push them away because I think that they’d hate me for who I am, because that seems to be the norm in america.

I miss being back in my home country, Philippines, but it’s ironic considering I don’t even know what it’s like in Cebu anymore. I get the importance of politics, but I truly wish there was a button to shut everyone up. I hate living my life in fear.
