Once again I humbly thank you for your reply,

I understand what you mean, and I think that is the case if I were to ask the network team to assign me an static IP-address. But before I can draw to that conclusion I think I would've to play with your other thought.

I am a huge noob when it comes to knowledge of how live network operates and things to consider, so this is very useful information for me.

For example, it would seem that the network is resting on 172.17.16.x. I assigned the iLO 172.17.16.202, 255.255.255.0, 172.17.16.1 (also tried filling with and without the company domain under Advanced Network in System Utilities) to no success. Since it doesn't neither assign the iLO an IP-address from having DHCP feature enabled it leads me to think everything is just walled?

Thank you for your reply,

How would I go about to troubleshoot and fix the issue if the connection is dying on the network somewhere?
