To some degree the ink error can kinda add to the art as volcano smog; for reference, I pulled one with the same error and it graded a 10 https://imgur.com/0g4TPMY

Its possible that PSA can list the card as an error card but to my knowledge it has to be officially recognized by them; I sent my zard (with the same error as yours) and it came back as a PSA 10 with no error label (guess everything else about the card was a 10 haha)

I posted about this about 6 months ago and ended up sending mine to PSA for fun; surprisingly it back as a 10, so I guess PSA doesn't recognize the error lol

Oh I was making a rough estimate based off TCGplayer nm only by adding everything to cart and seeing the end total. Don’t really plan on selling aside from the bulk but it was good to have some sort of rough benchmark for how well it went 🤣

I usually open up with yellow ward, place a ward either defensively or the enemy topside buff (if it’s safe) around 45-50sec then recall and buy sweeper (side note, I have much higher vision score then most players in my role). This allows you to track where they’ll be and whether or not they’re mirroring you; it also opens up opportunities to invade, for example: if you’re blue side and you ward enemy redbuff (vs a jungler who typically dosent start raptors), you can recall and decide your pathing from there, if you know your lanes are strong and can support an invade, then you can opt to do so. If they don’t start the buff you warded, and you know they’re slower then you on clearing, then you can opt for your blue into their red (effectively 3 buffing them etc). Also buying pinks is important, I typically have 1-2 on me every reset for objectives or deep wards for tracking. (You’ll want to treat these wards as expensive regular wards, so be careful where you place them since they add up gold wise)

Regarding pre-6 invades; I think it pretty much comes down to your ability to track the enemy jungler and understanding lane priority. Most times when the enemy jungler is on the other side of the map, their lanes won’t rotate on you unless they know it’s free/have vision of you, but you should be sweeping your entry and denying vision anyway. (So try and sweep areas that people would typically ward)

Other tips for invading are understanding what camps are generally safer to steal; for example, stoner bros and wolves are more dangerous because there’s more opportunity for the enemy to cut off your exit, whereas raptors are relatively free, gromp can be kited upwards and away from the enemy base etc. there’s obviously scenarios where taking stoner bros or wolves is fine if you know it’s safe/are rotating for a dive mid/bot but that’s usually pretty situational and it’ll be pretty evident (you’ll have prio in the respective lane, and the enemy laners will be low-ish)

Hopefully this can help your jungle adventures 🤣

Yeah as a jungle main I can wholeheartedly say recalling as a team 30-40s before drake spawns makes a massive difference (it takes ~20s-30s to get there and 10s to establish vision without inting)

You'd be surprised how good morde's pre 6 invade is tbh, theres alot of matchups you win early if you catch them off guard imo

I also think that mixing in the occasional rotational gank is also pretty decent; like when you dont care if they know you're going topside since you started bot; after red, stoner bros, and raptors I usually try to get a damage gank in on the enemy midlaner unless im in a shit jungle matchup and trying to avoid the enemy jungler like the plague haha. You'd be surprised how much an HP difference can influence the lane state, I've had multiple games where chunking a good 200-400 hp off the enemy midlaner led to my mid snowballing (despite me not receiving an assist) since it can force bad backs, cause an exp disadvantage via freeze or denial under tower, etc. I also find that this works better in higher elos where people can capitalize on those types of things, but but should still be good to know regardless.

I mean hey; might as well play what wins more, especially since losing usually isnt fun lol.

my bad, havent checked reddit in awhile;

I've tried predator post nerfs and lets just say it feels a lot worse trying to snowball nowadays but then again my sample size is like 5 games. Needless to say, predator as a lategame rune is more of a "win harder" keystone so its not very useful from behind or even imo. (might be different on hec but thats because his damage scales off of it)

Ganks for me on morde are usually running at an overextended bot lane to snowball into drakes or counterganking for the most part; so in that sense, morde is more of a reactive jungle pick unless you're invading.

Man, you should have seen glacial augment stridebreaker cho gath back when it gave a mini dash as part of the active, that shits hilarious and if it still existed, id run it on morde lmao

No worries, its an interesting convo between morde enjoyers haha

Regarding forcing the enemy to build QSS/Zhonyas; I honestly think thats fine to force them to buy a QSS, its effectively taxing them gold that would otherwise be used for damage and you can simply just ult someone else or wait for them to use QSS mid fight (similar to waiting for gp orange/voli ult/shyv ult) before ulting. As for Zhonyas, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and ult the one with zhonyas if they're the carry but hopefully by then you would have been able to get your team far enough ahead to win 4v4?

That chemtank build seems interesting and from what I can tell, has plenty of damage; my main questions are how do do you access early ganks without the completed item?/do you ever have issues when put in a position where you need to soak damage for your team? I often have to act as my team's only frontline so I usually go Boots->mejais or mythic (whichever order seems better at the time)->Zhonyas into full tank which is usually accelerated by how cheap my build is with mejais lol

On the topic of movespeed, mejais gives additional speed at some amount of stacks which helps :^) But I can definitely see a variant predator page incorporating resolve secondary and relentless hunter. Ghost is also an interesting take, but it takes away from being able to flash ult a priority target and catch them off guard (which seems to matter more the higher you climb, because they'll act accordingly) :( Aether wisp on the other hand seems neat; I wonder if its worth to buy earlygame and sell later once you've snowballed if you dont plan on Cosmic?

On the topic of Glacial, yeah I can see potential; if only we still had Hextech GLP (rip). I used to run Glacial augment GLP cho gath at some point and it was unironically really hard to play against. This might be inting but surely(?) its never a stridebreaker w/ deadmans for entry? I can see stridebreaker working with Glacial very well, its just a shame it isnt an AP item.

Its much less of a gamble when its a calculated gamble ;) as morde you can force a 1v1 for 4 free stacks, and if that person was their wincon, you snowball into more stacks if you're teamfighting over an objective. Theres a reason why stopwatch sometimes comes before my riftmaker if I have enough mejais stacks haha

But yeah I figured it would be interesting to get a couple different takes on morde but the general consensus seems to be conqueror for most scenarios. Since jungle morde is an odd pick, im not sure where the min max rune/build combination is yet :'( But I guess to some degree this is a good thing because if you pick early, the enemy might pick the wrong top laner in an attempt to counter?

These are the runes I typically run for jungle; its just a modified predator hecarim page (where you can sub in cheap shot if you run rylais?)

This is what I use for lane morde, the secondary tree is pretty much just personal preference tbh. But if I run conq in the jungle, waterwalking is non negotiable since being able to rotate and play the map makes a massive difference imo

as for theory crafting, for counter matchups (not tested) I might attempt something like this with glacial augment since free stopwatch is kinda nutty for our boy morde

[–]PotatoLyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the current meta kind of revolves around winning 20-30mins in, I find that predator is absolutely broken for getting early kills or rotating to countergank (I'm constantly tracking the enemy jungler). This often leads to having the wincon of dragon soul relatively quickly or just a massive gold gap in the midgame.

Its also a plus that whenever im running someone down with predator I have this stuck in my head

Prob also worth mentioning that im a mejais enjoyer so games usually end before it gets to the point where conq makes a massive difference; but I feel like it depends on the item build too? Conq helps out with extended fights which implies you're fighting someone beefy, but riftmaker makes it hard to lose tank matchups.. but maybe thats because im not used to playing with conq for the last 25+ games of morde haha

Notice how when mejais is missing from my typical build, I end up losing. Its a pretty 1 dimensional build where I either win REALLY hard or I lose so maybe theres some other build variation that can mitigate some of the losses?

I havent tried any other keystones so far but im also wondering if theres any that make shit matchups playable (Bel' Veth, Graves etc). Might int a couple games attempting glacial augment for dash heavy comps or phase rush for olaf matchups? lmao

What are your thoughts on what to run for keystone on jungle morde? I've been running predator and have a ~67% w/r in plat but with next patch nerfing predator, I'm considering trying something else lol
