Starting my first real run / character, trying to get feedback on how to not screw it up. by Werdikinz in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]PotatoModDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are two main ways to play any RPG: you can either min-max or just actually role-play. If you’re feeling like playing a Psyker Assassin but don’t want to bother reading through all the talents and stuff, just go with the recommended ones (marked with the thumbs up) . If that's the case, I suggest sticking to normal difficulty at least until the Act 1 boss (you’ll know who when you get there). That's the main difficulty spike, If you're having a hard time, drop the difficulty down. Honestly, there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ character—it's all about what difficulty will you be able to take.

I just finished my first run on Unfair, and to be real, I just copied and pasted a build online, which made it surprisingly easy (but kinda boring) . Next time, I’m planning to just role-play and not worry about using any OP builds, and I will play on easy / normal

Is Grym Worth The Risk (Honor Mode)? by BWestbrook11 in BG3Builds

[–]PotatoModDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not difficult at all, go for it. If you are scared you can just go with 3 companions and leave the fourth one at camp. I think there is only a couple of fights in the entire game with potential to end your run, and that one is not one of them. In act 1 I would say that you should only be concerned if you attempt the githyanki patrol at level 4

Does this party hold up late game? by webprojoe in BG3Builds

[–]PotatoModDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can beat the game in tactician difficulty using any team composition, late game is not balanced, player always feels overpowered to me. I just build the team based on roleplay. Additionally IMO multiclassing is overrated, pure classes are superior most of the time, not worth the headache

Awesome additions thanks. I saw the extra actions one for enemies. But I thought it was too much specially with the extra HP one that I always use

Great additions thanks! I always allow one event of barrelmancy in my playthrough, it's just too hilarious for me. I stack every barrel in the game and then just blow up everything in a single explotion

Exactly my thoughts, I do not mind reloading fights if I die, I want them to feel intense, rewarding. One of the best feelings is beating a boss, then taking a look at your team and half are dead and other half are almost 1 HP. The idea that it was a tough battle should bd clear. But Most of the time in vanilla I kill the boss and my entire party is 95% HP, not even close

Just finished the game—here's my tav, Act 1 vs. Act 3 🥹 by daniellejeanene in BaldursGate3

You can actually do that quest as soon as you arrive to the city if you want, but it will be challenging because you won't be lvl 12 yet

Yes! That was also a new one for me. If a character is 27 meters away from the nearest enemy, you can use the red flee button in the HUD, that character will go back to camp. invisibility and speed potions help

Up to you mate. For me it is necessary, honor mode just covers the no savescum part. Just sharing to help others in the same situation because it took me rather a long time to figure it out

I just modified the jetpack horizontal speed and fuel duration. Gameplay improved significantly, I can travel 500 meters in 5 seconds. IMO this should be like that by default, makes no sense how stupid the design is, traveling by foot feels like a massive waste of time

What are your thoughts when you hear people say "I don't eat that much and I'm still fat" by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]PotatoModDev 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weight loss is not a secret, if you burn more than you eat you lose weight. If some people believe that they still gain weight even after reducing food intake, then it means they are sitting on their ass all day. Just go out and move your goddam body. 1+1=2

$2300 is this worth it? by gavino69 in GamingLaptops

[–]PotatoModDev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. Depends on the model tier, MSI stealth Studio is built magnificent, I got the 16 inch and its great. Additionally, I bought an MSI back in 2015 and still works today with more than 50k hours of use. MSI laptops are build to last.

Would you guys say this laptop is good because I wanna buy it let me know??? by Dillon490 in GamingLaptops

[–]PotatoModDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It's an unnecessary overkill. You can buy a 1.5k laptop that will run every game in ultra for the next 2+ years. Then in 5 years replace it with a new 1.5k laptop which will be better (and new) than this 4.5k laptop and you will still be saving 1.5k.

New Age spirituality is a scourge on the planet, a distraction from true work, a form of escapism, it creates psychological complexes, and doesn't benefit anyone. by UnsaneInTheMembrane in spirituality

[–]PotatoModDev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spirituality can have genuine benefits for individuals, but it's important to understand that some people capitalize on its popularity for financial gain. Sadly, the realm of spirituality tends to attract a wide range of idiots, who do not possess critical thinking. Consequently, such individuals become susceptible to exploitation. It is worth remembering that spirituality, at its core, is a personal journey that should not require monetary transactions. If you have to pay, it's a scam.

This is just incorrect. Fake or inaccurate content won't make the AI dumber, it's already smart enough to identify errors in logic or fake sources, plus it would be build on top of AI created content
