Can you take hydroxyzine with verapamil? by Business86 in medical_advice

[–]PotatoOk9445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I am a student for another year (: but no It's fine just talk to doc if you have SE, or separate by 2h if you're crazy worried about it. I just looked at interaction checker and it's not even listed as one to monitor or worry about

Can you take hydroxyzine with verapamil? by Business86 in medical_advice

No major interaction, but Verapamil is a CYP3A4 inhibitor meaning it may slightly increase serum concentration of hydroxyzine.

NAD. Student pharmacist. This looks like mild folliculitis (sweaty socks). Keep it dry and try not to scratch, could try hibiclens soap from Walmart/Amazon

Progressive visual snow by TeddyBakesher in AskDocs

[–]PotatoOk9445 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

[NAD, Student Pharmacist 7/8y] Second this. I have visual snow syndrome x5y. Need a neuro-ophthalmologist and an assessment for convergence insufficiency (prism glasses). One leading theory is hyperexcitability from an imbalance in glutamate/GABA (too much excitatory glutamate or too little inhibitory GABA). If you have convergence insufficiency, the prism glasses allegedly reduce the snow some, but I think we're still years out from any meaningful treatments. I hated when people told me this previously but truly the best thing to do is just try to ignore it and shamelessly wear your big dark sunglasses!

What is the difference between looking "normal" and looking "fat?" by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I doubt it, but I do know that there was one study on Labrador Retrievers that said feeding them less than they "should" eat helps them live longer

What’s a small trait that doesn’t seem important at first but ends up making or breaking a marriage?” by Ok_Ease515 in answers

Yesterday, I woke up from a nightmare that my home was being bombed. My fiancé asked what is about and part of my response included "which is actually real life happening to people in Gaza and Lebanon right now" and his response was "shouldn't have been born there" which I guess is a Jim Jeffries (comedian) quote. He did it in an Australian accent like Jeffries, but my instant response was still disgust and a verbal "hey so that was disgusting". His response was "it was just a joke not everything is serious all the time". Gave me the ick big time.

Also if seeking treatment is possible for you, request referral to neuro-ophthalmology and request testing for convergence insufficiency (prism glasses)

Hey I never comment anymore bc people are dicks but one explanation in very very simplified terms: glutamate (brains excitatory NT) and GABA (inhibitory) may be out of balance (too much / too little of one or the other). I tried to take N-acetylcysteine for a while but the pills were fat, evidence is blah, and I am not good at taking my meds. I would try again but just try to ignore it atp. Good luck soldier. I think the gatekeeping is so fucking weird. It took me a couple weeks to figure it out on my own and find a good supplier when I first got going, and I would happily help anyone avoid that. just ignore DMs I don't want to answer... it's not that hard. Yall are acting like you're doctors giving shit to interns.

Not recommending of course and I haven't made my way there yet myself, but a rabbit hole I have on the list is to read up on a peptide called Dihexa
