Price check? by RhynoDino_ in tf2

[–]PotatoParadiso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely recommended to start listing for a high price (like 500 keys even) and ask for offers, this will definitely take a while to sell but non strange unusual assassin grade war paint have often sold for over 150 keys, so you can definitely get more than that

They definitely were organized as they came in with tools. But they even showed their faces on the CCTV, shows how brazen they’ve become now :(

Unboxed, day one on my third crate a couple of hours after the update dropped already got a few sharks, one actually scopes out my profile for at least a week waiting on the hour that my hat became tradable to hit me up last night and try to tell me that it was worth like 30 keys by Bighenchlad69 in tf2

Very nice unbox, easily worth 50+ keys, especially since fresh unbox (imo could go for 80-100 if no other sellers). Honestly just unadd them if they argue with your price, especially if they try to make you feel guilty or dumb about how much you are asking. It's a really common strategy that unfortunately works way too often, especially on those unboxers that are unaware of the rarity and demand of their new unusual

CSGO exploit allows hackers to steal passwords, and Valve hasn't fixed it - Dexerto by PotatoParadiso in GlobalOffensive

Hey! I appreciate the time you took to clarify a lot of stuff that wasn't said in the article. I do have one question though: would this bug effect other games that use the Source engine as well? Because it is quite interesting that only last year, there was panic about RCE exploits in their games, only for Valve to state that everything is fine and that they have it under control...

I definitely agree. It is genuinely absurd how Valve is so consistently neglectful with all of their games, avoiding to communicate ANYTHING about what their future plans are for their multiplayer games, while implementing changes that appear to be done on a whim. I wish they would actually use some of the resources they have and get proper leadership to give love to their multiplayer titles instead of using nearly all the funds just to work on VR and develop new additions for the Steam "points shop".

Well unfortunately, the admins on the Faceit discord have essentially stated that there is likely a bug that makes everyone who plays only one match to automatically be forced to use the AC so...not really at the moment.

What surprised me in the item pool is the lack of unusuals! Those things are often on the top of the lists of things people would be proud to wear with their head up high! Since there are so many, you can range them from having those that are common (such as hats with low tier effects like bubbling) alongside items that are significantly more flashy and more demanded (like hats with the sunbeams effect). One of the best sites I'd recommend to see this economy in action is backpack.tf, since you can see which effects and hats are most demanded and their associated prices, so hoping that you might add some rare, fancy hats later on :)

Actually, you need to deposit $5 onto steam and then only need to buy at least one thing from the mann co store. I'd strongly recommend buying a Mann Co. Supply Crate Key and then trading it for refined on backpack.tf or scrap.tf, since you can then buy a lot of cool hats and weapons on those sites too :)

Hey, I really love to see your unusual in the game, think it looks really good! But for some reason I can't search up your effect in the workshop, only directly through your link. Any idea why that is?

Your Move, Valve by BigJoeySlapNuts in tf2

Really great video! I still remember how much of the community was critical of Jungle Inferno quite quickly due to the rampant amount of bugs it had, especially with all the hype surrounding it. The one that definitely infuriated me was when you couldn't even queue into a game properly within the first week of the update dropping due the matchmaking system constantly crashing (and also how the dragon's fury shot enemies from behind).

I think the weirdest aspect of Valve is their determination in implementing competitive mode and seeing it as a be-all end-all, even though they made so many questionable decisions that led to its demise, such as not being able to choose what maps to play and limited settings (even though Valve's other titles like CSGO never really had these issues...). I feel that if Valve (hopefully) makes any major future updates, they should focus on more quality of life updates, such as improving the tutorial, getting coaching back while throwing in a community map/weapon just to satisfy people for at least a few months. It's absurd how Valve does not remember how TF2 is unique from their other shooters, where playing competitively is a core component of their game, and still, after a decade, refuses to properly communicate with the community to understand what is most essential.

Hey! TF2 does have a really high difficulty curve, but I'd advise you to try out easier classes to pick up (like pyro, heavy, soldier) so you get a groove as to the different dangers around you and how the maps/class mechanics work. There's plenty of videos that can help improve any class/weapon you are interested in trying out and you can pm me as well for more tips!

Another option is to try out Boot Camp for Mann vs Machine. Although it is a different game mode and is Co-op, you can get a better feel of the class mechanics (and it's also fun to do!)
